About this property
Hunter's Hideaway GUESTROOM at Arbor House Inn Bed & Breakfast on the River
QUEEN.
One of the two guestrooms located on the second floor and one of our larger rooms in general, this cozy retreat has a queen-size bed and the look and feel of an elegant, gentleman’s hunting lodge.
Featuring our largest private bath with shower, there’s plenty of room to spread out and relax. An outdoor balcony with views of the incredible cliff formations, mountain meadows, beautifully landscaped front grounds and soothing sounds of the entry fountain is just steps from the guestroom door. For guests traveling together and requiring two rooms, booking both Hunter’s Hideaway and Chloe’s Corner is an excellent choice as it allows the entire second-floor common area and outside balcony between the two rooms to become a private “suite.” Upstairs common area also includes comfortable reading chairs, desk, and game table.
Arbor House Inn common areas are for all guests and include the living room area with fireplace, large TV, game table, and comfortable seating for guests to mingle and enjoy some friendly conversation. The light-filled dining room features two-story windows with views of the deck leading to the back grounds, river, cliffs and forest. At the corner of the deck is the hot tub over looking the river. Great way to relax after a big day of hiking, fishing, golfing or skiing. The rustic, riverside log arbor and firepit seating area is the perfect place for a morning cup, an evening glass or a round of s'mores and story swapping among Arbor House guests. And our favorite spot for enjoying the outdoors in general, and river in particular, is Camp Calvin featuring another firepit with Adirondack chairs, solar party lights, picnic and serving tables, and the BEST spot to dip some toes into the chilly waters of the South Fork of the Rio Grande!
As far as breakfast is concerned, the Arbor House offers three options: (1) Traditional full breakfast served in the dining room with other guests at a prearranged time--the more the merrier! (2) Breakfast basket in your guestroom allowing you to sleep late and enjoy breakfast at your leisure. (3) Grab-n-go breakfast bags in your room enabling you to get up early and hit the road. Choices must be specified the night prior, and we will deliver the appropriately packaged breakfasts to your guestroom to be placed in your fridge. Whatever the breakfast choice, it's always right, and it's always delicious. We hope you'll enjoy the flexibility as much as we do!
