The home had everything we needed and more! Incredible views from every window and all the amenities to make our stay in Santa Barbara very special and enjoyable.
Oh, the views! Just a magnificent house. The views are endless and made it hard to leave the property. Spacious and extremely comfortable. We were there in February and thinking May/June would be unbelievable.
This house is everything and more!!! We had massages our first day at the house and a chef came and cooked as well with wine pairing. This house could not have been more perfect. Even though the weather was not cooperating, we have a fantastic weekend and would rebook in a heart beat. In fact I have tried and it is always booked on the dates that work for me!!!
Great stay, stunning views. only downside was the A/C in the master bedroom was not cooling properly, stayed above 79 degrees, we had infants who could not sleep in that bedroom. Host did not accommodate, I would politely ask them to turn on AC two days before, not the day of.
The house and location are both wonderful. We had 2 couples and one stayed in the guest house and we stayed in the main house. The only issue we had was the pool spa heater would not stay heated. The owners were very responsive.
I would not bring children under 10.
We rented this property for my family while we were in town for my eldest daughter’s graduation from UCSB. It was absolutely stunning…the pictures, though beautiful, really do not do it justice. This is modern architecture at its finest, with ALL the amenities you could hope for. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out or be together. I honestly don’t know if there is a better view in Santa Barbara. On top of that, the owners were so gracious and accommodating. They were constantly in communication and went above and beyond the entire duration of our stay. This is one of those properties that you don’t leave, because everything you need is right there. I could’ve stayed for weeks… I hope to return next summer to create more memories at this home. Book it…you will not regret it!
The view definitely set this apart from most properties. Impressed with the quality of the build and layout of the property especially considering the challenging landscape (on a mountain). House is well equipped and appliances worked perfectly. Especially appreciated the built in coffee maker, wildlife, heated pool, proximity to hiking and large tv but did I mention the views? Definitely an amazing experience for our family and would go back. Only suggestions would be maybe a football table or pinball something similar for teens but that is just our family and I am reaching for suggestions as our teens appreciate the view but would also be nice to have an activity to do or play together. Again reaching and just thinking what would have improved an already rock star experience.
This property was an amazing setting for an unforgettable family event. Located on top of a hill with 360 views of Santa Barbara and its scenery, this contemporary house is an absolute architectural gem out of a design magazine or a movie setting. Clearly the overall design was thought out in every detail with quality and superb taste. The main house layout has 3 suites and its adjoining guest house has another complete set of bedroom, bathroom and living area. We were 6 adults and 2 children and the spacious accommodations gave us space and flexibility, while the common areas and the outdoors provided a great setting to enjoy our moments together and create ever lasting memories. We are very thankful to have chosen this house for our significant family event. This would likely be a dream home for contemporary design lovers.
Shannon and Brad were very easy to interact with and were very responsive to our needs and questions. The house included every possible item we needed for a stay, from cleaning, to grooming, to cooking and linen, all of top quality. The access to the house was very reasonable, close to the Botanical Garden and just 10-15 mins drive to most destinations in downtown SB. While still part of a neighborhood area this top location provides privacy and connection with the beautiful surrounding nature. Very highly recommended!!!
Location is breathtaking. The house is perched on a ridge overlooking SB, which allows you to see both the sunrise and the sunset while soaking in the hottub! Only a few minutes walk to the trailhead to Inspiration Point and Seven Falls for an early morning workout.
The house itself is AWESOME- in the true sense of the word. Modern, open, spacious and fully equipped with anything you may need during your stay in paradise.
Kitchen is amazing- state of the art large and small appliances. Each bedroom is a sanctuary with its own bathroom. Plenty of space to retreat from common spaces.
We enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner outside on the deck off the family room where the large glass doors fully retract and pocket to create a large indoor/ outdoor room with an easy flow. It was magical!
The guest house was a perfect separate living space for anyone who needs a little more personal space.
It really exceeded my expectations! I barely left the property during our 5 day stay as I wanted to soak in every moment. We gathered around and enjoyed dipping in and out of the heated pool and hottub most afternoons.
The host was very responsive to questions during our stay as we navigated some of the technology in the house.
You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here. It really was an unforgettable experience!

Incredible Property
Incredible property - house is beautiful with wonderful sunrise and sunset views. We spent a very nice week there in September 2024. The house is really well equipped with everything you need. Pool views are glorious and the architecture is awesome.
One thing to watch out for is that there are a couple of unfenced areas with steep drops which aren’t child safe.
The communication from the hosts should have been better, given the rental cost. We got minimal info about the house beforehand and at the start of the rental (some of this may have been to do with us having a UK phone number, but this shouldn’t be a barrier in 2024) and when the pool heating broke it wasn’t easy to troubleshoot as we’d had no instructions.
I also had to push the owners more than I should have needed to to get the pool heating fixed, as the pool was too cold for kids to swim in. The initial reaction was that it was impossible to get fixed as it was a Sunday, and only when I pushed did they arrange to get someone out to the property, who diagnosed a broken part.
There were gardeners working at the property for 4 of the 7 days we stayed there. The gardeners were all fine, but we’d should have been told about this as it wasn’t as private as we’d have liked.
Final improvement area - there is an ongoing ant problem in the house (there are ant bait traps in all the rooms), we saw hundreds of ants during our stay (though we took care to not leave any food out).
