Waipouli Beach Resort and Spa is conveniently located on Kauai’s Royal Coconut Coast in the Historic town of Kapa’a, a 15-minute drive from the Lihue airport. When you stay in one of the condominiums at this award-winning resort, you’ll be treated to some of the best accommodations the island has to offer.

This stunning, top-floor condominium can sleep 6 people in its two bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a king-sized bed and the second bedroom has two Queen beds. This beautiful home also features three bathrooms with Travertine stone tile, jacuzzi tubs, and two showers.

The gourmet kitchen features top-of-the-line appliances by Wolf with a glass cooktop and oven, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Whirlpool dishwasher & GE microwave. This kitchen also has granite countertops, African Mahogany cabinets, and is stocked with everything you need to cook as much or as little as you like while enjoying your time here.

The furnished lanai will allow you to enjoy the breathtaking view while sipping your morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine.

Great location almost a 5

We stayed with our two 20 something year old kids. Our plans included hiking, catamaran cruises, helicopter tour, shopping and dining. The location was convenient for grocery shopping and some delicious food stands and farmers market. The view from the place was great. The building was quiet. Gym was clean and user friendly. I would give it a 4 1/2 If possible because it wasn’t quite comfortable for 4. There weren’t enough beach towels for everyone and only having a couch in the family room made hanging out a little uncomfortable. The beds and bathroom door in 2 nd room is a little tight. But overall great for location comfy beds good showers and beautiful sunrise. A rough beach so don’t stay here if you just want to swim in the ocean.

Absolutely Wonderful

Close to good restaurants, shops and a grocery store. We had one issue with the washing machine leaking and it was addressed promptly by the managing company. Beauty Abounds

It is a gorgeous setting with top-notch accommodations. The apartment is very well-appointed - it has everything you need. The location is perfect for taking day trips throughout the island as it's centrally located. Shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance, and the food is GREAT. There are so many exciting excursions to take advantage of, and they are easy to get to. The views of the ocean are spectacular from each of the rooms, and the fresh air is amazing. This apartment offers a sunrise view.

Great stay for family of 5

This condo had an excellent beach location with unobstructed ocean views from every room (and breathtaking sunrises every morning)! The kitchen was well-appointed and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The pool and restaurant on the property were wonderful additions to our stay. The beach was quiet; the sand was soft and the waves were gentle however there is a lot of rocky coral immediately beyond the beach so you may want to bring water shoes if you plan to swim. There is a 24-hour grocery store directly across the street that had everything we needed. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property for other families looking for a relaxing beach vacation.

Incredible Rental

This unit is clean, well stocked, conveniently located and was a great place for our family vacation. They even had a futon that my son was able to sleep on the floor, huge bonus as I gave our four kids, some bedspace. My husband and I both agreed that this might be one of the nicest rentals we’ve stayed at in Hawaii, and over the last month we’ve been in four other rentals. Their starter package was more than enough to get us through the week that we were there, and we eat in unit quite a bit. Everything was extremely clean and well cared for, we had ABSOLUTELY NO issues with gnats, bugs, cockroaches, or geckos, AS WE HAVE IN OTHER HAWAIIAN RENTALS. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RENTAL AND WOULD DEFINITELY RENT THERE AGAIN.

We saw a monk seal sunbathing one afternoon. Some repairs need to be made. Bath room door knob in the guest bedroom was loose and missing screws. One leg of the coffee table was loose. Only one door would open to the lanai from front room. Sliding glass door from guest bedroom to lanai was really hard to open. Overall, we would stay here again.

Great place!

Place is exactly as described. This is our second time staying at this property and it exceeded our expectations. We love staying here. It’s central to everything and the pool it the biggest hit with the kids. My sister lives in Kauai and this is by far one of the best places to stay. We will stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay

This place is great. We really enjoyed our stay. The beach & pool were a great combo. The location is central to the entire accessible island. Some of the furniture needs addressing, as the coffee table and the living room recliner both seemed to be a little sketch.

Perfect Romantic Getaway

The place is absolute incredible with breathtaking views. My wife and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary so we had an abundance of space which is priceless since we never have more than a few inches of space when we are home with our toddler boys. I truly don’t understand how anyone could give less than 5 stars staying here, it is the nicest place my wife and I have ever stayed and probably ever will. The ocean views are straight out of a movie or dream. Only constructive feedback I would give is there wasn’t any personal touch from the management company, we felt like a number not a guest from a private owner of the property. Maybe it’s the new reality of VRBO as my wife and I don’t get to travel much but we were just accustomed to previous stays where the owners sending us the check in instructions a couple days prior, not two months which went to my junk mail so we were waiting at the property for two hours before we got into our room on the 4th of July. Also there was no flexibility on a late check out, even an hour. Overall, still an amazing property, highly recommend. Just for my wife and I in the future, we will stay away from management company’s with lots of multiple properties owned to avoid feeling like this again, just a number and not a valued guest in their own home. Mahola!

Conveniently located and great pool for the kids

We booked this property so we could easily access both the south and north shore. The unit was clean and well taken care of. I think it could use some decor upgrades to lighten it up and make it more "beach" airy. It was little dark and old fashion. However, that is a personal aesthetic opinion. The size of the unit was very functional for a family. The pool was very nice to have for the kids after a day at the beach, the slides were a huge bonus. The gym was a nice size and had the right equipment to get a quick workout in. It was great to have a grocery store across the street. If you are looking for lots of beach and more of a "resort" feel, this isn't the same as the Grand Hyatt or places like that. But, that wasn't important to us as we planned to not be on the property much, rather out exploring. Overall, we would recommend it for anyone looking for a central location to stay while on vacation.

Doesn’t quite hit the luxury mark

4.5 Location is great. The resort is very nice. Communications with the management company was very good and they were very responsive to issues. The unit itself was very nice and spacious. However, there were a few maintenance issues. The furniture was aged and somewhat uncomfortable. Bed was comfortable though. Kitchen was large and well appointed. Lanai was too small for the table and chairs (setting for six) and those chairs were uncomfortable. Would have been 5 rating but it was at a premium rate and didn’t quite meet expectations.

Almost perfect

We stayed for 8 days during spring break, the view is phenomenal! The condo is nice but a few little things kept it from 5 stars. The shower was clogged when we got there but the management company was amazing and fixed it within hours of us calling! The king bed is very hard, and I prefer a firm mattress, but I woke up with my hips and back hurting everyday. The sliding glass door in the main room is very difficult to open all the way and the screens on all the sliding doors are ripped and the parts that aren’t ripped are difficult to see through. There is beach equipment for use, which is so convenient, but the umbrella is broken beyond use and the ties that keep the chairs closed during transport are gone causing the chairs to open while carrying them. I would definitely stay here again but these are some of the little picky things that lost it a star for me.

I loved the view of the ocean from the porch. The resort itself was perfect. The pool and hot tubs were great. And the cocktails were fabulous. We spent almost 2 days of our week, hanging at the resort and walking/running along the ocean pathway. My kids loved running across the street to the grocery to get snacks. AC was a game changer for these southerners! Check-in and check-out was super easy and communication was excellent. Highly recommend this unit!

Exactly what we needed

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As a family of 5 (3 kids 21,21,18) this 2 bedroom was perfect! It was exactly as the pictures depicted. The view was breathtaking. The unit was very clean and had everything needed for our 6 night stay. The fitness center was WAY nicer than expected, which made my daughter very happy. The pool was beautiful. Everything was well maintained. The Safeway across the street was very convenient to walk to. We had a minor issue with our thermostat needing to be replaced. My husband called when we left for the day and they had it replaced by the time we returned-huge thumbs up there! There was a closet full of beach accessories. We didn't use any, but it was so nice that it was available. Along with starter everything :TP, dish soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, full sized hair dryers (which I was thankful for since I forgot mine in the hotel on Oahu) If there were any downsides it would be the pullout sofa. One daughter always sleeps on for trips. She refused-it was terrible, especially after coming from the best pullout she said she has slept on. With 5 adults we always travel with a blow-up mattress and there were 3 beds in this unit, so it worked out fine. The amount of traffic in front of the resort was much busier than I was expecting. However it did not affect our stay or anything pertaining to our room itself as this building is at the back, closest to and facing the ocean. Loved the key pad entrances. It was SO nice not to need or keep track of card keys for 5 people. I would absolutely recommend this resort and unit to anyone asking.

Very expensive.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The grounds were well maintained but the two bedroom suite needed drastic upgrades. There was no door handle on the second bedroom. The beds were too old, not comfortable, the carpet was very old, dirty, needed to be replaced (ceramic tile for beach accommodation would be better, the recliner and couch were broken, couldn’t open the door to the sub zero fridge without two hands, would be extremely hard for kids or 80 year olds to open. The grounds and hotel areas were lovely but the suite, it wasn’t worth the $12,000.00 Cdn for two weeks we paid for it.
