Spanish Gated Bungalow, Culver City

This is an adorable 1931 - gated - 1,400 square foot spanish style home in the most convenient location in Los Angeles; Culver City (adjacent) halfway between the beach and downtown. This is not a rental but a home the owner finishes with a fun vintage style.

Guests love the Viking Stove and fully equipped kitchen with connected breakfast nook. Chefs love this home!

There is a great backyard to enjoy breakfast with the birds, pick your own grapefruit for juice, or to sit under the pergola with a glass of wine.

The space:
It is not designed as an short term rental because it is not one. You have access to all of the comforts of home. It is gated with a ring front doorbell for extra piece of mind.

Guest access:
The whole house and yard, but not the garage in the back of the property. The garage is a guest house the owner and cat stay while you enjoy her home. You are free to use the yard with outdoor furniture.

Other things to note:
It’s important to know that a cat lives in the house when it’s not being rented. If you have allergies to cats, this is not the place for you. It is cleaned before and after every guest, but cat allergies can be intense.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please do not leave wet towels on wood floors. There is a laundry basket in the back mirrored closet.
Striping the beds you used is better but if you don't that is okay.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Limit water usage as we are in a drought. Showers must be less than 10 mins, turn off water while brushing teeth. Do not leave wet towels on floors.
Do not leave anything wet on the wood floors. Anything wet should be hung out to dry.
If your dog barks too much and bothers the neighbors too much, they can't stay.

Why they chose this property

I love homes. As a Realtor, I chose this home for it's incredible location where I can walk to downtown Culver City, Helms Bakery's restaurants and design stores, and Platform's great dining and shops. I bike to the beach via Ballona Creek, or take the train Downtown or to 3rd St. Promenade in Santa Monica. Plus, this home has history and a warm inviting quality you don't find in most modern homes. She is an oldie, but a goody.

What makes this property unique

Location, Location, Location. In a car the house is 15 mins to Downtown, the beach and the valley and 20 mins to LAX. I get to Disney in 45 mins. Of course, this is LA, so you need to leave at the right times. Also having a gate and ring cameras make me feel much more secure than a house without one. Getting to stay in someone's real house is much more fun than your regular short term rental. You can see how people that live here actually live, it is not your cookie cutter home. This place has character!
