Custom-Built Cottage, with Private Hot Tub & Heated Floors
Whether you want to sample the 30+ local breweries, explore the Blue Ridge Parkway, or enjoy amazing restaurants and shopping in downtown Asheville, this studio cottage will be a quiet retreat for when you return.
We designed and built this cottage as a passion project. Quiet, simplistic, and elegant, we hope you will enjoy the special touches we built into the property: wall-to-wall radiant flooring, skylights, various lighting options, and a private hot tub with a mountain sunset view.
The sleeping area is set up with a Nectar Sleep queen bed. Spacious closet with built-in shelving is waiting when you are ready to get settled. Attached to the sleeping area is a sun-filled, full bath with a step-in shower, featuring both rainfall and standard shower heads.
There is a full laundry room with a stacked washer and dryer, laundry detergent is provided. Also available is an iron and ironing board.
Because the cottage is a studio, the living area and kitchen area lead into one another making the floor plan open and intimate. There is a smart TV and high speed wi-fi internet.
The kitchen is spacious and contains an electric stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and fridge. There are an assortment of utensils and cooking equipment at your disposal. Plates, bowls, and utensils are also supplied, along with a coffee maker, locally-roasted coffee, and some teas.
There is a small outdoor sitting area overlooking the property, accessible by the front door. A privacy fence provides some added space and seclusion, but won't keep you from seeing the wild turkeys, hawks, and deer. There is also a Solo Stove Bonfire for your use upon request. Walking around the side of the house, you will find the hot tub, which is thoroughly cleaned after every guest.
Please note: The cottage property is semi-private, you will pass another home when you head up the private drive.

A perfect place for our weekend getaway. Great location. A quiet retreat at the end of our busy days with a perfect setting to sit in the hot tub and watch the sun set and the stars come out. A short drive to downtown Asheville. Hosts provided great details for getting there along with recommendations in the area. Couldn't have picked a better place to stay!
The place was amazing especially for a getaway. The hot tub and heated floors were such a great addition, also great job to the couple who built the cottage! Absolutely amazing work and amazing designs.
They went above and beyond! We will definitely be staying there again. The view was amazing, the hot tub was perfect. Couldn't ask for a better little spot for my wife and I!
Everything was clean and accommodating! Loved how it was close to everything, but didn't have to be around people. They were amazing to work with and would recommend to anyone!
We had a great stay! The hosts were very communicative and the cottage was beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully stocked. I'm sure we'll be back in the future!
We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was very clean and well cared for, with a super comfortable bed and everything we needed. The location was great—peaceful and scenic but still close to restaurants and activities. The hot tub was the perfect way to relax in the evenings. We’d definitely stay here again!
Everything was perfect and exceeded expectations! If you’re looking for a place to stay that is outside of Asheville, this place is perfect for a getaway weekend!
Great cottage in private surroundings. The pictures don't do it justice. Hot tub is amazing and the cabin is equipped with everything needed. Great location close to everything in Asheville yet far enough away to have a quiet, relaxing stay.
We enjoyed our stay immensely! Loved the hot tub and outdoor solo stove in the evenings! Host was quick to respond and very welcoming! Very clean interior and exterior, perfect setting for me and my husband's honeymoon! Great craftsmanship, can tell a lot of thought went into the design of this lovely cottage!
This newly built cabin was perfect for a couple. The owners thought of everything We did not use the hot tub or outside patio but maybe another time! Lovely setting
My wife and I stayed in this lovely cottage just outside of Asheville for a week and had a wonderful time. All of the check-in and out information was simple and clear, and the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Asheville.
It was a very nice studio Cabin situated far enough away from the main house to just feel like a neighbor. The jacuzzi was very relaxing at night with a nice clear view of the stars, I would definitely book again.

About the host
Hosted by Lianne Price & Nicholas Hunter
We're Nicholas & Lianne! Nicholas has lived in Asheville for 22 years, and Lianne for 10. When we're not working, we enjoy western North Carolina's incredible hiking, kayaking, live music, beers and food. We are both so passionate about Asheville and the greater area of Western North Carolina, and we truly love getting to share it with visitors!
We both enjoyed living downtown for several years, but having this 3-acre property has given us peace and quiet, while being within close proximity to everything Asheville has to offer.
Why they chose this property
Asheville provides a variety of activities from hiking, mountain climbing, shopping, antiquing, river floats, brewery tours, art walks, and amazing restaurant tastings. The cottage is also situated close to historic, ever-resilient Marshall and quaint Weaverville, both offering their own unique mountain charm and variety of activities.
What makes this property unique
Nicholas designed the cottage in 2020, and brought his designs to life in 2021 (with help from Lianne and talented local friends). This house was a true labor of love, and we hope the creativity, thoughtfulness, and quality craftsmanship shows. The cottage will surely enhance your visit to this breathtaking part of the country.
