Beyond Disappointing!!! A No Star Rating!
This property was dirty, outdated and poorly maintained. Numerous basic amenities were not provided, and slow draining sinks and a defective fan were an annoyance. Mold in the showers and on the shower curtains and a stain on one of the comforters were troubling to say the least. Upon reporting to Vacasa the very long list of items that needed to be provided and/or repaired or replaced, Vacasa totally failed to provide the local support they promised. The “house” manual and posted sign in the house provided the name and number of the local manager, who when talking with her informed us that she had not been in that position for seven months. She provided the name and number of the current manager whom we called and he asked for a list of items and concerns. He delivered many of those items that same day, which was day 4 of our stay. On day 7 of our stay, we reported needing refills on toilet tissue, bath soap and hand soap with no response. The people staying in the adjoining duplex were experiencing similar problems and receiving the same lack of response. They told us that after many years of short term rentals, this was the worse they had ever encountered. Vacasa’s response to them was that the local support had turned his phone off. In conclusion, VRBO’s standard for their rental properties is very low/poor, and the property management by Vacasa during the time of our stay was non-existent. We will not consider VRBO and VACASA for future vacation needs.

Great and quiet location
This property has many great qualities- comfy bed, great shared patio with fire pit, great balconies with beautiful views. It could definitely use some updates but overall we loved our stay. Missing were paper towels, tissues, propane bottle for the grill, a working light in the garage, ice cube trays and an emptied dishwasher from previous guests. None of these things were a huge problem but are expected from renters. We did not report these to property manager so it might have been corrected. Again, a quiet and peaceful and pleasant condo. Red River is a beautiful little mountain town with many fun activities

•Day of check-in we were given the wrong network name – called support line and were told someone would be dispatched to fix the problem. No one ever came or called. •Master bathroom had multiple problems – sink would not drain so water stood in the sink for hours. The faucets and sink surface were not clean. The toilet seat was falling off and on the last day the shower stopped draining as well. •The other bathroom had similar issues with slow draining sink and toilet seat falling off. •Insufficient parking - meeting friends from multiple locations we arrived in more than one vehicle to discover only one car would be allowed to park. The facility needs to provide a solution for multiple vehicles. Frustrating because there was room for more than one vehicle for our rental unit – but our request was denied. •The kitchen was not clean – there were no paper towels, and even though there was a refrigerator/freezer there was no way to make ice. •Apartment was hot and stuffy - without central air, providing floor and/or window fans for each room is essential. •The entire apartment was not clean and it was in significant need of renovation.

Duplex in Red River-along the Red River
My husband and I stayed in one half of the unit and our friends, stayed in the other. There was a locking door that connected the two units. Though there were just two of us in each unit, it was roomy enough to accommodate more guests. We were very pleased with the property. It was spacious, comfortable, and very functional. It had everything we needed. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with dishes and pots and pans, etc., and it had a large full size refrigerator. There was a good sized living room which was open to the kitchen and there were lots of windows and doors to allow in light and or fresh air, with multiple decks on the middle and upper floors. The two bedrooms were on the top floor, each with its own bathroom with tub/shower combo. We really loved the outdoor space on the River Rider unit. It had great outdoor furniture for relaxing, a gas grill, and a fire pit, and a string of overhead lights. It overlooked the scenic Red River. We saw deer next to the river a couple of different nights. It was convenient to the commercial district of town but was in a beautiful setting and was very quiet at night. We would recommend this to others.
