We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was nice, clean and comfortable. The best part was sitting on the front deck relaxing , enjoying the view and listening to nature. Great place to relax. Our dogs loved it too. Would definitely stay again. The owners were very friendly and accommodating.
Everything was great. Good communication, directions. It was outside of the city with a pond and a good area to walk our dog. The unit was wonderful. Clean and comfortable. We would absolutely recommend a stay here.
Enjoyed our stay. Loved the location and the view! We didn’t get to use the grill, but I thought that was such a great touch. I appreciated our host having several kitchen items in stock. We left without something, and he had them available!
Very quiet and convenient to the Little Rock area. Great location if you have pets. The host makes the stay very comfortable and is responsive to any needs that arise. We will definitely stay here again.
This was our second time staying at this really nice and quiet location and just as before had a really enjoyable and comfortable stay. Every thing that is needed is there and Bill and Kay the Hosts are so friendly and will go out of there way if anything additional is needed and quick to respond back.

Thank you, Kellye, for your review. Your use of the word paradise is exactly why we like living here!
We enjoyed our stay very much. Check in/out process was efficient and host was very helpful with providing directions to the property and information for anything we needed. The room was clean and equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We travel to this area often to visit with family so I was excited to find a listing so close to them. We will definitely book here again on future trips.

Megan, it is gratifying to read & hear such favorable comments by our guests. We hope to have another opportunity to host you soon.
Exceptional host. Private setting. The place has a very comfortable and open feelings. Plenty of parking and open grass areas. all very nice manicured. For me it was perfect in many ways. My buddy"Ace dog Owen" was right at home. I am a deal hunter and I will say you be very hard pressed to find better value. Even compared to most 2-3 star motel. I will be back before Christmas
Great quiet getaway and away from all noise and distractions
Me and my wife for the first time stay at the place in Macon and highly recommend this place and will definitely come back and stay again. For us being retired and Military this location was at the back gate of the base. Bill and his wife were so very friendly and helpful and went out of there way to provide the rental with everything and more during our stay. Great communication, amenities and fully furnished so as one doesn’t need much except themselves, food and the time to truly appreciate the serene and beauty and calmness we needed to get away and appreciate all the God has to offer. Thnx, Ray, for the very positive review. You & your wife are great guests who make hosting fun & rewarding.
Was looking for a close but rural, "far from the noise" place to get away for the weekend. Happened upon this studio apartment by chance, and will definitely book again soon. Thorough driving instructions, clean and cozy, warm, quiet. Appreciated the coffees. The pond behind the house is a nice touch. The porch table will come in handy for warmer, dryer nights. Enjoyed hearing the pond water, and the birds and wild turkeys in the morning. Recommend! Thanks!

About the host
Your host
I was born in OH, grew up in Columbia, MO, attended high school in NJ, returned to MO to attend Bible College to train for preaching ministry, married, & had our 1st of 3 kids b4 graduation. Ministered with churches in IN & MO b4 moving to AR in '85 to plant a church. Out of vocational ministry since '17. Wife retired from nursing in '16. Besides our STR (short term rental) business, I am a roofing contractor & a real estate investor. We manufactured & raised 3 kids, all now in their 40's. They gave us 9 grandkids. In '14, after 12 yrs of empty nest, we took in 4 siblings (2 girls, 2 boys) & became their legal guardians. We adopted them in early '20. The girls are now grown & the older daughter gave us our 10th grandchild which evened the genders @ 5 ea. Our adopted boys are still in high school.
Why they chose this property
We bought our 5 acres in '92 bc we loved the property & bc this is the only direction North Little Rock & Sherwood can grow. Sherwood has gotten closer, but our valley still looks & feels remote & far from the city. The only traffic here is our neighbors, their guests, delivery ppl, & contractors. We love the peace, quiet, security, & the sights, sounds, & smells of nature. Our guests love it for all of the same reasons.
What makes this property unique
There are both rural & city properties, but our property is the best of both. We are rural & it looks/feels very remote, but we can be in the capital city of Little Rock in 20 minutes. Many long term nearby residents don't even know about our valley tho they have driven past our little gravel road dozens of times.
