Thank you for your kind review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the space and found everything very clean. We truly appreciate the recommendation and would love to host you again anytime!
What a beautiful home! We traveled to Osh Kosh to tour UWO and found this gem of a place to stay at! The neighbors were extremely nice as was the community. Very quiet neighborhood. The home had everything we needed and more! The host was wonderful in checking in with us throughout our stay, making sure we had all that we needed :)

Thank you for staying with us and your kind words. Happy to have you back anytime.
We reserved this property to host ministry interns who were on a training retreat in Oshkosh. The property was immaculately clean and very comfortable for our weeklong stay. We especially appreciated the welcoming host and spacious rooms.

3 star overall
The house was great. The biggest issue I had was with the Check-In process. I contacted the owner 2 days prior to arriving. 1st, I had 3 people cancel on me at the last minute and I asked for a refund. I get it if I couldn't, but no response. After I was honest shortly after I booked when I had to add 1 more person staying. 2nd, a couple days prior to arriving, I asked to check in early. They said there was options and they would add an extra hour. They didn't tell me it was $75. 3rd, After telling me I can get in early, I had to ask them to send me the housecode when I arrived early.
I have rented a lot of houses in the past. This is the first house I had to pay to check-in early. Communication on that payment would have been appreciated as I had a tight window as I got into town. The check in and out policies could use some fine tuning. It's very inconvenient to have to wash and put away your used dishes. We also washed the previous guests dishes they left dirty.

Hi Shane, thanks so much for your comments. I do apologize that your messages were not responded to more quickly. We pride ourselves on monitoring all communication channels closely from 6am-11pm, but clearly we fell short and missed some communication from you, and for that I am very sorry.
We use a 3rd party software to help insure that your check-in process is smooth and easy by compiling everything into a "boarding pass" link, which was sent to you via email as well as text. This link contains ALL of the house info, check-in information, check out info, etc.
We do ask that guests wash their own dishes, as you can imagine what a disaster our cleaners would be walking in to if people just left all of their used pots/pans/plates/silverware all over the kitchen/dining area. This is common practice amongst hosts to ask this of the guests. We do NOT ask that you do any laundry, make any beds, etc, as that is clearly our responsibility.
Lastly yes, we do charge a nominal fee for early check-in and late checkout. This is due to the condensed timeline it creates for our cleaning staff, and having to shift their schedules around as a result (which can at times be very last minute). We have a quality assurance inspector walk thru every house after it's cleaned, so I'm uncertain of how you would have found dirty dishes from the last guest. I wish you would have mentioned this during your stay so we could have investigated and made it right for you.
We hope to see you back again.
Best,
-Mark
This host was listed as a 5 star host, but was anything but that. We had rented this property two months in advance, and the day before we were to arrive from out of state, I was texted that they had to move us due to the property "being trashed" by the earlier tenant. They had 4 days to warn us, but did not until the day before. Our group of 5 people plus two dogs was moved into a dirty one bathroom house in a different part of town. We were told it was that or a refund. It was Thanksgiving week, so there was little else we could do on one day's notice. I assumed we would be given the credit since there was over $90 difference per night for the new property, but we were not. He offered us $50 per night or nothing. The property itself was dirty inside, particularly the floor. The doors did not latch, so the bathroom door would pop open when you were in there using it. One bedroom had a double bed in it that made it so tight you could barely walk along either side of the bed. The twin bed is a glorified cot. The yard has tall brown weeds. There is no light at the back door, which is the only entrance. The sound on the TV did not work. The seating in both living and dining areas was for 4 people, though the house claims to host at least 5. The inside staircase is incredibly steep and the steps themselves very narrow. It is an accident waiting to happen. I would strongly discourage VRBO renters from working with Mark Biesack and Powerhouse Properties.

This is not an accurate depiction of the events that transpired.
- We did indeed need to move Michelle and her group as a result of the previous guests trashing the house. We found this out on Saturday when our cleaners arrived at the property in the morning. The previous guests had multiple cats/dogs that had done over $3k worth of damage to the house. We notified Michelle right away (2 days prior) and offered her a different property we had available.
- Michelle was given a 25% discount for the inconvenience of moving, as it's definitely not ideal and not what we wanted for her experience to be. She was shown the listing to make sure she was okay with the move and she said yes.
- After the first night, she was very unhappy. We offered to issue her a full refund despite already staying 1 night at the house, but she said it was fine and that she'd stay.
- After her stay, she gave us a long list of issues she had and wanted a further refund.
We fully understand that moving properties last minute is not ideal, and it almost never happens. However, when a house is unfit for a guest arrival due to circumstances out of our control (how another guest left the property, a plumbing issue, etc) we do everything we can to help find another property for our guests, or offer a full refund. Michelle was accusing us of witholding info about the condition of the property from the start, when the reality is we had to move 2 additional guests from this property as a result of the damage. It was extremely unfortunate. We manage 110 properties and pride ourselves on our great customer service and extremely clean and comfortable properties (just read any of our reviews). Unfortunately, Michelle was going to be unhappy with us regardless of our actions.
If you have any further questions regarding this guests review, please don't hesitate to message us and we'll be happy to elaborate.
