This place is amazing, exactly what was listed. We had a great week of hunting in the area and it was great to come back to such a comfortable setting. The owner was great and very responsive.
We loved our stay! The property is private, clean and had so much to offer for our family. We enjoyed the lake, fished, played games, jumped on trampoline, and nightly camp fires.
Nice cabin, had lots of amenities and fun things to do on a beautiful lake. Close to town couldn’t have asked for things to better. Definitely interested in renting this cabin again in the future.
This cabin was wonderful! They have everything you could possibly need for a family getaway. It was a very quiet lake and property. We really enjoyed our time there!
We had a nice stay at this beautiful lakeside cabin. The home was spotless, very well stocked, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. Our favorite spots was the peaceful lakeside porch—perfect for morning coffee and watching the local wildlife.
We had an outstanding 6 night stay at this property on Island Lake, northern Itasca County. The amenities were great from the well stocked kitchen, lake toys, board games to the kids toys. Dave was an excellent responsive host, thanks much.
We enjoyed our stay at Larson’s Lodge - the cabin was clean and a perfect up-north feel. Many things to do, quiet and relaxing!
Thanks, Dave, for sharing your cabin!
This is the best eqipped VRBO property we've ever had the pleasure of using. The location is private yet very convenient to local establishments. It was very comfortable with space for everyone to enjoy the peace and quiet as well as areas for larger groups to hang out. Looking forward to another opportunity to stay at this property!
We had a wonderful extended stay at this property with our group. Fishing was fantastic, the level lot was great for going out on the ice. Winter campfire was perfect to sit by and take in the lake views. Nice kitchen for cooking and prepping in. Christmas tree was a perfect touch. We will be back.
Beautiful place to stay. Fit our family perfectly.
They have everything you'll need, even normal size pots & pans, not those little ones. Beds were comfy enough & everything worked well. Dave answered any questions I had right away. Definitely will go back again
Wonderful set up for children, all water “toys” are right there, didn’t need to bring anything. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Fans should have been cleaned, I had to clean the master bedroom fan before turning it on. Only 3 washcloths for entire family. Had to buy some to get thru the week. Beautiful views, family had tons of fun
We stayed here for a week with 4 adults and three kids 6-12. There was so much for the kids to do. Take games, board games, a toy room, fishing, trampoline, TVs in each room. We enjoyed the front porch which we spent lots of time eating our dinners and watching the lake. The campfire pit is close to the house so we had one every night. The house is loaded with extra stuff so you literally don’t need to bring anything extra but food and clothes. There was plenty of sleeping space as well with comfy beds and quality linens. It was very relaxing and quiet. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to take family to relax and spend quality time together.
The house is setup very nicely. The lake is very quiet. Town in close enough but not too close. The people around Northome are friendly. After visiting with the DNR officer at the boat ramp the last day he assured us that the fishing is normally better just having an off year. Still managed to catch a few. We would definitely chose to stay there again.
This property was great for our family gathering on the lake that had a lot of memories for our family. Dave’s house is large, well stocked and in a beautiful location. The house had everything we needed and my toddler nephew was surprised to find his favorite toys already at the house and my kids spent hours on the netted trampoline. Dave was also kind to help accommodate a family member with mobility limitations by furnishing a lower bed for her to sleep on as the master bedroom had a high bed frame. A great time was had by all.
This is a beautiful cottage/home, that is very well kept & has every concenience you could want. We cook allour meals on vacation, & this kitchen was extremely well appointed!! Fully sto ked means fully stocked here!!😍 😀 It was very clean, spacious, & the property was tidy & well maintained. The huge wraparound porch is delightful. 🤩 All of it exceeded our expectations! The owners are friendly & thoughtful, & easily reached for questions. Watching the sunsets from the end of the dock was beautiful. Having the ducks & ducklings, & herons right up in the little cove was so nice to watch. Very very pleased. ☺️
Very well-appointed, comfortable cabin. Kitchen has many conveniences and well-stocked with dishes, utensils, and appliances (crock-pot, blender, mixer, I even used a bread maker). Comfortable beds with amply pillows and good linens. Good water pressure in the showers, good linens. Big, family-friendly lawn area with fish cleaning shack and play set and trampoline. Dock has electricity and a boat sling. Plenty of parking. My only two knows on the property are the lack of a cabin manual (how to turn on/off heat, where supplies are, where are local amenities) and a fly issue. The flies were unusually numerous inside the cabin and on the ceiling of the wrap-around porch. Not sure if this is a Fall season anomaly.
