Escape the city for a true “up north” experience. This year round cabin on Island Lake just outside the Chippewa National Forrests awaits your arrival. Whether you choose to relax or play, the northwoods will rejuvenate your soul. Island Lake is a 3000 acre fully recreational lake know for the abundance of walleye, the delicious MN State fish. Enjoy fishing, boating, watersports, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, etc. During the warmer months you will hear the loons calling and watch the eagles soaring right from the covered porch. During the cooler months you will find plenty of public hunting, skiing and snowmobile trails near by. Enjoy the solitude of cabin life or adventure out to nearby local attractions like the Lost 40, Chippewa National Forrest, Red Lake, Lake Buena Vista Recreation Area, etc.

There is a fish cleaning shack with a bucket. Please use this to clean fish and dispose of waste at our dump site across the street. Ask for map.
Only oil fry fish outside using outdoor fry basket. There is also an indoor fish boil basket or air fryer to use for boiling/baking fish inside.
Please be responsible so we can allow dog guests. They are only allowed on main level and not on furniture. Kennel, bed, scooper available at request
