Lakefront retreat where three bodies of water meet. The Blanc sits at the rare convergence of Long Creek, the Brazos River, and open water, offering a setting that simply doesn’t exist anywhere else on Lake Granbury. Sleeping up to 20 guests across six bedrooms, the home is designed for large groups with a single-level layout, two spacious living areas, a private boat ramp, kayaks ready to launch, and unobstructed sunset views over the lake paired with sunrise views across protected open land. Featured in 360 West Magazine, this is a design-forward destination property just outside Fort Worth.
The Blanc was built for groups who want more than just a place to stay. The layout handles scale comfortably, with space to gather and space to spread out naturally throughout the day. The kitchen anchors the home, fully equipped for shared meals with a dedicated dining area, breakfast nook, and coffee bar that makes slow mornings part of the experience.
Inside, the design is rooted in Round Top, Texas. Antiques and one-of-a-kind pieces are integrated throughout, including a hand-carved statement wall in the dining area and a fully restored carousel horse mounted floor to ceiling in one of the bedrooms. Every piece was chosen with intention. Nothing is filler.
The outdoor experience is where this property separates itself.
Set directly on the water, the backyard is designed to keep groups outside from morning through night. A private hot tub overlooks the lake. Multiple fire pits create natural gathering spaces as the evening settles in. Two gas grills and a cowboy grill anchor outdoor cooking. Kayaks are staged and ready for immediate use, and the private boat ramp allows easy access for small fishing boats and flat-bottom vessels. Ping pong and a putting green round out the space.
This is where most groups spend their time.
The setting adds another layer. Deer move through the property in the mornings and evenings. Birds line the shoreline during the day. At night, the lack of surrounding development creates clear skies, stargazing, and a level of quiet that is increasingly rare this close to DFW.
Historic Granbury Square is just 10 minutes away with restaurants, wineries, boutique shopping, and live entertainment. Warren's Backyard, one of the most popular live music venues in North Texas, is just 2 minutes from the property.
For larger groups, The Blanc can be paired with the adjacent Noir Barndominium to create a private two-home lakefront compound for up to 30 guests. Expanded configurations are also available for groups up to 54 guests across multiple homes.
The Blanc is approximately 45 minutes from Fort Worth and about one hour from DFW International Airport.
Maximum occupancy is 20 guests. Quiet hours begin at 10 PM. This is a smoke-free and drug-free property, indoors and outdoors. Minimum renter age is 24.
This is not a typical lake house. It is a place designed for how groups actually want to spend time together.

Absolutely charming house. The decor was beautiful, warm, inviting, and peaceful. Jenna thinks of EVERYTHING you could possibly need. Plenty of cookware, dishes, drinking cups and anything else. The beds were extremely comfortable as was all the furnishings. The outside seating, grills, firepits, hot tub, kayaks, and putting green were a lot of fun. We will definitely be back.
Such a beautiful home! The pictures do not do it justice. We had a wonderful time being out on the water and enjoying the fire pit. The host was so accommodating and kind. The whole house is very well stocked with everything you would need. They really thought of everything! I hope we can come back!
We had a great time with a family reunion. Everything was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked with pans and dishes. The location was perfect for us. Easy to find but not around a lot of traffic. We had plenty of parking. A great place to stay.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The home was beautiful & accommodating. I would definitely recommend it for a large family or group of friends.
The home was wonderful! Lots of space for everyone to spread out. We had 16 people with all the kids and grandkids. The home was also well equipped with anything you needed.
With multiple, generous seating areas inside and out, and a gorgeous view of the water, this home is perfect for multi-generational visits. The clouds cooperated and the front yard viewing for the total eclipse was superb.
Our multi-generational family had a fabulous Labor Day weekend at this beautiful home! The host went above and beyond to make sure our visit was extra special!! The decor and furnishings are over the top! Thank you for opening your beautiful home to us! We highly recommend this venue and host!
Such a beautifully decorated lake house packed with amenities. We had everything we could have possibly needed during our stay, if we had any questions the owner was very responsive. We had a blast and will be back in the near future.

So happy you had a great time! We welcome you back!
We rented this beautiful house for the holidays. There were 15 of us ranging in age from 7-76. We had plenty of room to relax and everyone enjoyed being outdoors by the lake and going out on the kayaks. The house had everything we needed for serving up our holiday meal. We would definitely stay here again.
The Blanc is the perfect home for any size group. Nestled up over Lake Granbury with serene views while sitting in the hot tub. Attention to detail throughout every room ensured top notch hospitality for their guest. The kitchen is a chefs dream and the home was VERY well-equipped to suit our needs. The host had flawless communication throughout the entire stay. A must see when in the area!

So grateful you guys stayed with us. We look forward to having you back again!
Our girl’s trip of eleven loved this house. It’s beautifully decorated and super comfortable. We cooked, played cards and enjoyed the lovely back patio. Some of us even used the kayaks. The only downside? Our stay was too short!

We so enjoyed having you all! Please come back soon!
The home was absolutely beautiful! We had 10 ladies stay total and had plenty of room. I even enjoyed a relaxing kayak ride with plenty of sites to see along the river. We especially enjoyed the large living space to entertain while the birthday girl opened presents and we all played games. The bathrooms were very nice with the toiletries all stocked. Thank you for making this a great place to have my moms 70th birthday celebration!
We spent 3 nights here for a family girls trip- about 16 of us. It was perfect. The sleeping areas are separated well so you kind of have your own space. It is decorated so beautifully and has a lot of comfortable sitting areas. The home speakers were really nice, the setting on the water is also very nice and peaceful. We only used the hot tub once but it was lovely. Don’t have anything negative give to say- everything was perfect for us. Would definitely recommend it and stay here again. Thank you!!

About the host

We are Ty and Jenna, the founders of Life of the Modern Nomads. Ty spent over 20 years as a luxury custom home builder before we made the shift into hospitality. Jenna is a designer, entrepreneur, and the founder of Winton and Waits, a boutique lifestyle brand with locations in Fort Worth and Aledo. Together we build, design, and host every property in this collection ourselves. Nothing is outsourced. Nothing is accidental. Every detail in every home was chosen by us, for a reason. We have lived and worked in the Fort Worth and Granbury area for nearly 30 years. We are not investors who manage properties from a distance. We are locals who know this region deeply, care about it genuinely, and take personal pride in every stay that happens inside one of our homes. Our background in custom home building means we approach hospitality the way a builder approaches a custom project. The finish level matters. The layout matters. The way a space makes you feel the moment you walk in matters. We do not cut corners and we do not settle for good enough. That standard is visible in every property we host and it is the reason guests come back. We are glad you found us and we look forward to taking care of you. ~Jenna and Ty Life of the Modern Nomads
Why they chose this property
There is a point on this land where you can stand and see three bodies of water at once. Long Creek, Lake Granbury, and the Brazos River converge just beyond the back porch, and the view does not look like something you stumbled onto. It looks like something that was waiting for you. That is why this property. Not the square footage. Not the amenities. The feeling of standing at that water and not wanting to leave. We designed everything else around that feeling. The interiors, the gathering spaces, the pieces we brought in and placed with intention, all of it exists to extend the moment you feel when you first step outside and see the water. The land across the street is a grass farm that will never be developed. The sunsets come over the lake from the back porch. The sunrises come over open country from the front. The owls call at night. We found this place because of a feeling. We built it to give that feeling to you. ~Jenna and Ty
What makes this property unique
The only lakefront vacation rental sitting at the exact convergence of Long Creek, Lake Granbury, and the Brazos River. This waterfront setting cannot be replicated anywhere else on the lake. Featured in 360 West Magazine as a designer vacation home. One of the only short-term rentals in North Texas with third-party editorial design credentials. Interiors curated with antiques sourced directly from the Round Top fields, including a 300-pound hand-carved wall piece permanently installed in the dining room and a fully restored antique carousel horse mounted floor to ceiling in one of the bedrooms. The land across the street is a working grass farm that will never be developed, preserving open country views, sunrises, and genuine quiet permanently. Unobstructed sunset views over the lake from the back porch. Breathtaking sunrise views over open country from the front porch. Two completely different and equally spectacular perspectives from the same property. Private boat ramp for small fishing vessels and flat-bottom boats, plus kayaks staged and ready for immediate use. Two minutes from Warren's Backyard, one of the best live music venues in Texas. Ten minutes from Historic Granbury Square. The only private two-home lakefront compound on this stretch of water, with The Noir Barndominium directly adjacent, allowing groups to book both properties and sleep up to 30 guests across two distinct design experiences on the same extraordinary waterfront.
