Very nice cabin in a gorgeous location, right on the river as stated. There are a few catch on the fly surf waves right in front of the river view deck so for paddlers, this is an amazing bonus! The place is wonderful. Only thing missing is laundry but thats not a big deal. WiFi works well if needed. Highly reccomend and Id stay again for sure.
This property is a small but well designed and tastefully furnished apartment, attached to the owner’s home. It would be great for a couple or a family with young children. It is located in a small gated community (think privacy and security) right on the Nantahala River. We thoroughly enjoyed watching guided white water rafts go by steps from our front door. It it a peaceful and enjoyable experience and we highly recommend staying here.
A beautiful guest house—we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, this is the place. The sound of the river combined with the fun of watching rafters float by made for the perfect setting. The house was spotless, well-appointed, and just the right size for two people—comfortable and inviting in every way.The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, providing detailed directions and thoughtful suggestions for things to do in the area. Overall, a wonderful experience that we would gladly repeat.
The place was immaculate. Everything very clean well organized and neat couldn't ask for a better place to have stay, Diana is a great host. I will definitely recommend this place to my friend's, and family members, and to all that asked me how my trip was. Thank you for having us.
Brand new space, a few steps to the river, kitchen well-equipped, spotlessly clean, fire pit and Adirondack chairs at the rivers edge, quiet neighborhood with cute gazebo on a river island, short drive to the NOC
This property was absolutely clean and spotless! Everything we needed for a weekend getaway was easily accessible. The hostess provided clear and concise communication ahead of and during our stay. We were first time VRBO guests so we were a little nervous. However, everything in terms of accuracy with descriptions, communication with our hostess, and the relaxing environment of the Nantahala quickly calmed our minds. I highly recommend this property. Absolutely AMAZING!

Lovely Location
We stayed at the river property for a girls weekend. It was lovely to stay so close to the river and Dianne was very responsive. We did however have a few glitches which kind of soured the overall experience. We knew we would have spotty cell coverage, however the WiFi was down would not stay connected to the internet with issues, Dianne did resolve quickly, we also had a power outage and that took some time to get it back working again contacting did resolve, but was the second evening and a bit stressful till resolved, and finally the apt was not very clean which we also told the housekeeper on checkout. We are not too picky and I know this is the mountains and issues happen, just kind of a bummer all on one trip.
My family and I stayed at this property for a week in April, 2023. It was fabulous! The property is brand new and very well appointed. Really enjoyed the outside terrace from which we watched paddlers going down river.
The owner was very accessible and accommodating.
You know the old saying: "Location, Location Location." Well...River, Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC), Appalachian Trail, Mountains, Serenity, Rafting, Fly Fishing. It's all right there.
I have used VRBO for years and dozens of stays. My biggest concern is that property descriptions or pictures are misleading. This property is exactly how it is described. Very much appreciated that.
We will be back for sure.
