Sunset Cottage: Lakefront Escape - Fenced Yard - Pet Friendly - Kayaks - Fishing

Let lake life ease your stress away on private Indian Head Lake about 5 minutes from the small town of Six Lakes. The dock and four kayaks allow you to explore, fish, and float the day away. No need to leave the pups at home as they are always welcome. Fenced yard and waterproof flooring throughout (added 2025). One queen and one full accommodate four people comfortably. Fiber internet gives you the option to work with a view. Bring your fishing pole to catch smallmouth bass, perch, etc. Lake freezes for great ice fishing. All linens included.

The home is in a rural community in the heart of Michigan's Amish Country. There are lots of farm stands around, and an Amish cheese shop down the road.

We are also surrounded by lakes so bring your boat and explore a new lake each day. Lots of great hunting near by as well.

The home is on a dirt road. A 4x4 is not required. Many of the other residents drive small cars.

Excellent place to stay.

The place was perfect we felt as if we was at home. The owners gave us lots of insight on places to eat and things to do during our stay, it was very quiet and peaceful, i give this vacation rental a 10 plus rating and we have traveled all over the world and this was by far one of the best rentals.

Beautiful updated cottage on scenic lake. We had a nice relaxing stay. Cottage has a fenced in area which our dogs loved, what a pleasant surprise! Owner is super responsive. Highly recommend!

We had a great time! Only downside was there is no AC in the cottage. We enjoyed kayaking and fishing in the lake. The house was very nice and had everything we needed. There are lots of great restaurants and shops in the area. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful cottage!

My family had a great stay at the Six Lakes cottage. Taking the kayaks out on the lake, chatting around the fire pit, and hanging out at the kitchen table were our favorite spots. The kitchen we probably the best stocked I’ve encountered so far in a rental. Bravo for this cottage!

Great Lakefront Cottage!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The cottage was very clean! It included more than enough paper towels and toilet paper for our week long stay. The washer and dryer came in very handy for our family. It had a well stocked kitchen, including almost any spice you might need for cooking. 😊 Our family absolutely loved the use of the kayaks, enjoyed the deck looking out to the water, as well as the lights near the deck at night. The hosts were wonderful! We highly recommend this lakefront cottage if you are wanting to unwind and take it easy.
