About the host
Hosted by Lisa Caruso
As an avid traveler, I want your experience in my home or others that I co-host to be as enjoyable as possible, and I also rely upon guests to communicate issues or needs so I can address them promptly.
I am young at heart and love to travel internationally on a budget - to me it's about the cultural experience and meeting new people, not about the room where I'm sleeping, as long as it's clean and comfortable. I've been fortunate to get to Asia/SE Asia, Indonesia, Europe, South America, Africa and Australia/NZ, (over 50 countries, 46 states, and counting, some more than once) but with many more places around the globe to go (Sagittarius in me).
I always enjoy making new friends and having new experiences. I have been on safari, hangglided, like trapeze, and was lucky enough to have done stunts in a bi-plane over the Pacific Ocean with a pilot friend. I am an AFI, GW and TBird alum, so let me know if you are too!
I enjoy music, dance, movies, F1 racing, reading, boxing, anything with animals, and outdoor activities like hiking, climbing and biking. I have done a Habitat for Humanity build in Egypt, was fortunate enough to hike to the basecamp (18k feet) of Mt. Everest after volunteering at an orphanage in Nepal, have volunteered with refugee children in Greece and did a fundraising trek in the Italian Dolomites and volunteered with refugee single moms and kids in Fall 2021 amongst other cool adventures. Tell me more about you...
