Awesome weather, trails were in great condition. The food is always delicious at Ponds. The location of the house was perfect for the trails we wanted to explore. Super clean and comfortable for the 6 of us.My only recommendation would be to streamline the dishes, pots and pans so there is room to put away groceries.
Beautiful home with everything your group needs to cook and eat! Well stocked with plenty of dishes/cups/pans etc. The laundry area entrance was great for taking off snowy/wet items and hanging up after a long day of snowmobiling. Loved the suitcase holders for unpacking. Loved that there were 2 areas to relax with plenty of seating. Within walking distance of small store and restaurant as well.
Very beautiful cabin. It’s very well maintained and has everything you would need. Would definitely recommend and would rebook the same cabin if we ever visit Yellowstone/grand Teton again.
Staying in Island Park made for the most magical Christmas ever!!! We are from Texas, so all the snow made us so happy! Casey was an amazing host! However, the owners of the property removed the Christmas tree before we got there and did not seem to communicate that with her. It broke our hearts, but Casey went above and beyond to track down a tree for us! The stay was incredible despite that hiccup! But, if you’re planning to go for Christmas, plan to supply your own tree if having one is important to you! We plan to return!
This home was beautiful, unique, modern, and well stocked with everything you need to eat at home. 30 min to west entrance of yellowstone. the only thing i would suggest is adding wine glasses.
We came here to have a fun weekend getaway with family and found a beautiful cabin. So clean and well decorated. Loved our stay here and we will definitely be back!
The house was great, so well-equipped with lots of added touches and amenities. It was a great location for our Yellowstone and Jackson Hole adventures.
We spent 6 days in this cabin and it did not disappoint! It was beautifully decorated and had everything you would need to spend a week in the cabin or come and go as we did.
We have never stayed in a vacation rental that had such a well stocked kitchen, plus the snacks and jams along with the coffee was very thoughtful. We loved our stay and will definitely go back if we return to Yellowstone.
You won’t be disappointed if you stay here. ❤️❤️❤️
We loved this place! So much room and fully stocked with anything that you might need! You could walk in and live here and want for nothing!! It’s huge! Thank you so much for the goody basket and all the needed supplies that we don’t have to run out and buy! Easy access to Yellowstone!! We will be back!
Immaculate and well equipped. Excellent location for exploring Island Park, Henry's Lake, West Yellowstone, and Yellowstone National Park.
3 king beds a plus for 3 older couples.
This is the best stocked home we stayed in for our entire trip. We have driven almost 6k miles and stayed in several rentals. This one had everything we needed. Crockpot? How about 2! Waffle maker, tons of pots and pans, cooking utensils, and even an assortment of childrens plates, bowls, etc. We had ample room for our large party. It worked perfectly for our family.
We planned a Vacation Race (5k & Half Marathon) trip to Yellowstone with a group of friends. We loved our stay. The cabin was perfect & was very well equipped with everything needed to make our trip more comfortable. We found a ranch nearby for horseback riding and the 30 min. Commute to West entrance to Yellowstone was pretty easy. We went there daily!
Possibly the cleanest rental we've stayed at. Home was comfortable with plenty of seating for everyone to be together.
Home is perfect as a base of operations for outdoor activities AND a comfortable place to unwind when not out and about. Very well stocked kitchen is always a win!
Thanks to the hosts and site team for their kindness and professionalism.
We traveled across the west for our vacation and this cabin is where we lodged in Idaho. Let me say this: nothing, not one detail has been overlooked to make your stay wonderful. From every cooking utensil you would need to prepare meals, to wonderful mattresses on the beds, to stepstools for reaching tall cabinets, Netflix for family movie time and an abundance of linenins, it was juat peefect. This cabin has been the highlight of our accommodations this trip. Please dont pass this one up!
All the amenities, decor, kitchen supplies, furnishings and layout made this the perfect cabin for our family and extended family. The proximity to the river provided lots of wildlife viewing. The big table provided lots of memories of game nights. And since we prepared every meal in the kitchen, the size of the island and the incredible kitchen equipment and supplies was just perfect. More than we ever imagined! Thank you so much!
Let me start by saying that me and my friends loved the property and had a great time.
However, I went up the week before to investigate the area, because I was the local that put the trip together for my out of town friends. I wanted to know if we would be able to snowmobile to the front door. If there was gas and food. Where I would pick up the key the day of arrival etc.
Found out that there wasn't a near by breakfast place and that the one restaurant at the Ponds doesn't serve breakfast.
Asked the Ponds check in person if I could put my wife on the list of people that could get a key on the day and time of arrival so she could put breakfast food in frig for us so we didn't have to carry it up by snowmobile. She was willing to drive from Victor to leave a breakfast spread there for us.
Things went down hill so fast from there my head is still spinning.
Apparently no one there at this check in counter feels it is there job to help or answer simple questions like this.
Response- "what are you blind can't you see I am a waitress"
No one (multiple inquires) felt it was anywhere in their job description to help me or answer simple questions or request.
I couldn't get out of there fast enough. We ate left over pizza for breakfast because I couldn't get an answer if my wife would be able to leave something in frig after the official check in time.
So property great, had a great time, but there really isn't anyone there who feels anything but inconvenienced unless you are there for an "official check in".
Please apologize to the staff for driving from Victor Idaho to the Ponds to inconvenience them with a few quick questions at a completely empty store at 11 am on a Sunday.
I will Chaulk it up to the "end of the season sick of tourist" syndrome.
Beautiful, spacious cabin. Fully stocked with everything you need. Very clean and fresh smelling. Convenient check-in at Pond's Lodge with exceptional restaurant
