Great experience until the end..
My family and I loved our stay in Gatlinburg and would definitely recommend this stay until our check-out experience.The resort/rooms were beautiful and clean. The check-in experience was incredible and the staff was friendly and efficient. The room was not the exact room posted in the pictures, but both rooms were beautiful and exceptionally clean and all well stocked. My children loved the water park and I enjoyed the spa. The restaurant was mediocre but the activities were great. The free trolley ride to Gatlinburg is recommended due to the lack of parking. All in all, my family and I were extremely pleased with our stay.Until the morning of checkout.Check-out was 10am. I woke up at 8 and noticed the front door was cracked open 2 inches. It stormed the night before so I questioned whether the wind blew the door open until I noticed a maintenance man sitting on the stairs in front of the door. I continued to gather my belongings and stack them by the door when I noticed the cleaning staff looking in our windows (it was 9am). I immediately asked them to stop and reminded them that checkout was 10am. When my husband and I went to take the bags down to our car we noticed several cleaning staff lingering around our room making it hard for us to maneuver our belongs around them. When we got back to make our second trip my children were hysterical that strange people came into the room (even though it was locked). This was UNEXCEPTIONABLE! Management was notified.
