Efficiency is located on a half-acre wooded lot in Chapel Hill's Booker Creek neighborhood, just adjacent Lake Forest. This is a quiet Chapel Hill Residential neighborhood with well-established properties and homes. A city walking trail just up the street creates a scenic 10-minute walk to Eastgate and Plaza Shopping Centers, with Starbucks, Brueggers Bagels, Whole Foods, Rite Aide, and numerous other shops and restaurants. It is 2 minutes by car from East Franklin Street (where it becomes the Durham/Chapel Hill Boulevard) which puts it within 5 minutes drive of UNC, and a 15 minute drive from Downtown Durham and Duke University. It is likewise a 5-minute drive to I-40 and therefore a 20 minute drive to RDU Airport. Two different bus lines pass within a block of our address, but buses do not pass directly by.
Two miles from UNC, 5 miles from Duke, easy access to Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd, and I-40. 15 miles from RDU International Airport. This 2nd rental was built specifically for use as a short-term rental. It has no line-of-sight view from the main house, and has a private entrance. Our intent was to create a luxury space to rent for guests with appreciation for such. The result is a living space so beautiful that we hate to not use it for ourselves! Space is ideal for 1 couple (2 people) in the king-sized bed. The sofa in the TV viewing room is a futon-bed that folds out and is technically a "full" sized mattress (smaller than a queen) which might accommodate one adult, one adult couple, or up to two kids who can share a bed.
Guests are limited to one parking pace in our driveway and must park at the left side of the driveway near start of private walk to the BnB's private entrance. Kitchenette has under-counter fridge, microwave, toaster oven, sink and Keurig coffee maker (no oven or stove-top).

We have been staying at hotels in Chapel Hill for years for regular appts at UNC hospitals. The hotels have recently taken a huge jump in prices so decided to try VRBO. We were very comfortable at this VRBO. It was spotless, nice vibe, everything we needed. Better than a hotel room and less expensive. In a very nice, quiet established neighborhood. Hosts were responsive to inquiries.
We enjoyed our stay at this lodging. It was very quaint, artistic, with a cute kitchenette. We had one problem and the owners dealt with it very quickly.
We loved the vibe in the space, and especially the easy walking path along the creek and through the forest to the shopping center with so many great restaurants and shops.
The property was excellent and as advertised. It's a great spot, very convenient to things, but set in a wooded neighborhood that makes it seem off the beaten path. The bed was very comfortable. We will definitely be back.
Beautiful and cozy stay in the heart of Chapel Hill.
What a lovely and comfortable place to stay convenient to campus and all the amenities you might need. Our hosts were wonderful and we had a perfect stay. Thank you!
Located in a beautiful area in a clean & inviting indoor space. The hosts were great. The air conditioner though sounded like a storm. We would have liked a curtain or blind over sliding door to make it darker to sleep. Otherwise we do recommend this stay. You will enjoy it.
Hosts were incredibly communicative and helpful. Even mailed us our teddy bear that was left behind! Very kind people

Great location in a quiet neighborhood with lots of trees. Convenient to downtown Chapel Hill. Hosts Nathan and Amy were very responsive and friendly in solving problems. Things to improve:- Toilet rocking, leaking constantly, and not flushing properly - Kitchenette electrical needs to be fixed, as well as cabinet drawers (difficult to open)- Add curtains in kitchen area for privacy and sleeping (flood lights at night made sleeping difficult and exposure to neighbors was not private)
A private sanctuary in a quiet residential neighborhood. Access down a narrow gravel path and narrow steps, so beware. Spacious, and clean bathroom, comfortable bed. A good value!
Nice, quiet neighborhood. Very convenient location not far from Franklin street. Restaurants and grocery stores close by. Loved the vibe of the decor. Highly recommend.
Great place to stay. The neighborhood is quiet and a quick, easy drive to UNC. There were two separate rooms/beds so we were not squished together. It is clean and spacious. The photos do not do the space justice. It’s super cute and relaxing. The host kindly allowed me to charge my electric vehicle. Which was an unexpected bonus.
