We were in town for a wedding and this home was perfect because each room had privacy and their own kitchens or kitchenettes. There were also a few gathering rooms and sitting out on the porch was lovely.
We needed a place for 10 of us to stay and this mansion was perfect. We each had our own bathroom and private suite which made the whole weekend so much more enjoyable. The mansion was beautiful and we enjoyed exploring the uniqueness of each room. We didn’t have any issues with parking, off street and on street. The only warning that we will make is that room #1 does not have enough standing room for anyone over 5 ft to be a shower so whoever stays in that room with either want to take a bath or use a different shower. Derek was really communicative before our stay when we had questions and ahead of check-in.I’m local to Columbus so I understood that OTE is a great area but can easily go into not great areas. So always be cautious with leaving belongings in your car but we did not have any concerns with staying there. It was easily accessible to everywhere we needed to be downtown and was a very quiet street.Overall, the Judge’s Mansion made it an incredible weekend for us and we would recommend it for large groups!
There were 16 friends from all over the country in our group in Columbus for a wedding. We rented the entire mansion. The house is as described in the listing. It’s old. It has quirks and along with that it has CHARM to spare! We were concerned that there would not be a centralized gathering place for all of us to be together but to the contrary there were so many options. We ended up congregating in the living room of suite #3 (the chamber). It is centrally located and has a nice sized kitchen and living room with a separated bedroom. Th Chamber was definitely our favorite suite in the house. The management was extremely responsive and helpful. They were able to accommodate an early check in and even brought us extra towels in a pinch. They were there within an hour of the request! The place has nice amenities as well, with all kinds of complimentary snacks and supplies. The neighborhood is hit-and-miss. There is a beautiful park and the East Market within walking distance but there are some run-down buildings as well. That did not bother us but I could see how some people may be turned off by it. The proximity to most Columbus destinations is also pretty great. I would highly recommend The Judge’s Manson to anyone, especially a large group. It was the perfect place for us!
