Cliff-Top Cottage on the Ocean!
Beautiful, spacious, sun filled cottage, custom-built, oceanfront, on the south shore. The cottage is cliff-top, and this provides spectacular, panoramic, south-westerly views and incredible sunsets. The cottage was custom-designed and custom-built in the year 2000, and provides approximately 2,000 sq. ft. of living space on one floor. The walls and floors are Pine throughout. There is a wood-burning stove/fireplace for cooler nights. Enjoy ocean views from the open-concept Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen, or, from the Deck chairs. All windows have a roller blind and the bedrooms have curtains as well. The Kitchen is clean and well-equipped with modern conveniences. The Fridge, Stove, Built-in Microwave, Built-in Dishwasher, Washer, Dryer, and BBQ have all been replaced within the last 3 years. There are 3 spacious Bedrooms: the Primary Bedroom has a Queen-size bed, large closet, and a 4-pc Ensuite Bathroom with shower, toilet, and two sinks. The 2nd Bedroom has a King-size bed. 3rd Bedroom has a Double Bed and a Twin Bed. Each Bedroom has a Dresser, Mirror, and Ceiling Fan. There is no air conditioning, but being on the ocean, the breezes on a warm day are lovely. The main Bathroom has 2 sinks, a toilet, and a shower. There is no bathtub in this cottage. There is a stacked washer and dryer. At the back of the cottage - outside, is a shower and sink, plus hose, to shower off after a swim or being on the sandbars. There is one Satellite TV ( in Living Room) plus high-speed Internet is provided.
Parking is outdoors, on grass. There are two stairs all the way around the deck.
Access to the beach/sandbars is via stairs going down to the beach and sandbars is within 300 yards. You can walk for miles on the sandbars when the tide is out. You can walk, bike or drive to nearby Victoria-by-the-Sea Village for artisan shops, restaurants, and live theatre (see Victoria Playhouse's website).
There can be no climbing on the cliffs, there is granite rock securing them along the bottom.

This is our family cottage, built just 23 years ago. We are located on the south side of the Island, where the water is typically 10 degrees warmer than the north shore. We are located on a point, on top of a cliff, and there are two beaches within short 300 yard walk. We are in a cottage community, with other cottages behind/beside us. The cottage is beautiful - full of light, and the floors and walls are all pine. Of course the ocean view is a knock-out from most rooms and deck. We enjoy walks along the sandbars to nearby Victoria-by-the-Sea when the tide is 'out' and browse around the local shops there. When the tide is 'high' swimming is ideal, after washing over the hot sandbars on a nice day can be quite the experience. Locally you can rent kayaks (available to rent in Victoria) and you can kayak in the bay area of Victoria-by-the Sea. We golf at a variety of scenic and exceptional courses within a 45-minute drive. Golfing in Prince Edward Island offers great value. In the evening we drive into Victoria (5 minutes) or Charlottetown (20 minutes appr. ) or Summerside (25 minutes appr. ) for live entertainment, and enjoy excellent restaurants.
Why they chose this property
We chose this location because the 'south' side is less crowded, much quieter, and some would say more beautiful than the north side. We are nearby the quaint Village of Victoria providing local crafts and restaurants and a renowned live theatre (Victoria Playhouse). Also, we are only 20 minutes drive to Charlottetown so it is very convenient.
What makes this property unique
Cottage is situated atop a cliff, right on the ocean (Northumberland Strait). There are no obstructions blocking the view. Enjoy the view and sunsets from the the large, covered deck.
