Welcome to Sweet Winds Farm!

Sweet Winds is a delightful, "step back in time" farm property located just 1 mile inland from Lake Huron in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula. This retired farm is actively transitioning into a sustainable agricultural homestead. When you visit, you'll experience the early stages of this journey and are welcome to enjoy fresh eggs and whatever seasonal bounty is available from the gardens and hoop houses (its been a process, thank a farmer)!

The Space & Accommodations
The home perfectly blends the cozy charm of a cottage, a traditional UP cabin, and a farmhouse. It is incredibly cozy in the winter and surrounded by an abundance of nature and wildlife during the warmer months. Summer months have cool nights and comfortable days.

Bedrooms: 3 Bedrooms (Comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests with 1 Queen, 1 Full, and 2 Twin beds).

Living Room: Features a warm, working wood stove perfect for chilly evenings.

Kitchen: Fully equipped with almost everything you need to prepare your own home-cooked meals.

Outdoor Amenities: A small front porch perfect for morning coffee, a charcoal grill for cooking up fresh-caught fish, and a chiminea for evening fires under spectacular, star-filled skies.

The Land: You will have entire access to the house and the private 10-acre property. Feel free to wander the grounds, explore the hoop houses, and drink from our excellent well water.

Location & Getting Around
Nestled off a paved highway and tucked 1.5 miles down a gravel road, the property offers a wonderfully private, secluded feel while keeping you connected to the best of the Eastern UP.

Central Hub: Ideally located for day trips to St. Ignace, the Les Cheneaux Islands, and Sault Ste. Marie.

Trail Access: Located directly adjacent to Snowmobile/ORV Trail #47, making it a perfect base camp for trail riders and outdoor adventurers. Gravel bike riding and cruisers do great along the country roads.

Other Things to Note
Connectivity: Cellular service works on the property. Please note that we do not currently have Wi-Fi, allowing you to truly unplug and connect with nature (though we may add it in the future based on guest demand!).

Entertainment: A TV screen and DVD player are available with a selection of movies.

Family Friendly: We have plenty of games, books, and toys for youngsters, plus acres of open space for them to safely run and play.
