Hello and welcome to the lodge. Please note this home was purchased December 2020 and is in the process being brought back to its beauty. The price is on the lower side due to the outdated nature of the home and carpets.
The lodge is very cozy even a large
2700sqft and makes a great place for multiple families to get together before and after hitting the slopes at Cataloochee, any number of hiking locations or other events around the region.
4x4 is recommended, m+s tires also recommended on two drive vehicles during the winter and wet months. 4x4’s only across the driveway bridge if there is an accumulation of snow on the ground or it significant accumulation of snow is possible.
-no shoes inside
-no cats
-dogs feet must be wiped off before entering and brushed out before arriving at the lodge
-bring your own firewood if using the wood stove, also utilize one creosote cleaning log with your first and last fire if burning continuously
-clean wood stove ashes before departing, there is a metal pail with a lid outside the front door, spread the ashes throughout the grounds
-do not drive or park beyond the cones or parking area markers
-no food or trash stored or left outside the home
-guests need to take trash to a Haywood county convenience location as needed and upon check out, Haywood County Solid Waste Convenience Center

- no pets on the furniture
- pet cleaning fees will be based on the companies assessment and charge if excessive cleaning is required.
- do not move around the furnishings and furniture to avoid damaging the furniture or unit, damage to items or unit will be deducted from security deposit.
-Smoking, burning, bbq with a grill or anything like within the house or under the covered porches or deck will be assessed a $300 fee.
* smoking in the house immediately forfeits the full security deposit.
* * exceeding the maximum capacity of 10 in the home will lead to surrendering of the security deposit. $300 and will be in addition to the security deposit. Which is why this states security deposit and supersedes VRBO ’s limiting option.
*** Any animal feces left in the units is cause for surrender of the security deposit, this supersedes any VRBO policy.
The house is supplied with water via a natural spring and holding tank. During the dry months water should be used conservatively to ensure water for your stay and future guests. As the spring is regulated by the weather, if the water runs out due to drought conditions I will refund the unused portion of the nightly rate costs. With that you accept that you will be responsible for finding alternative lodging and understand that we will not cover additional lodging costs or fees etc for your alternative lodging under Airbnb’s policy which this notice Supersedes and voids VRBO’s policy.
By agreeing to the house rules you authorize VRBO to surrender your full security deposit for any of the *’d items. Likewise any damage, lost or stolen items will be charged the replacement cost including shipping, fees, taxes and labor and you authorize VRBO to deduct the full cost from the security deposit. Also the security deposit is for all physical and monetary damages due to the guests. The house rules supersede any and all VRBO’s policies.
