The house was very clean and well stocked with blankets, towels, pantry items etc. We needed access to additional sheets and when we couldn't locate them our host supported us quickly. We use the game room a bit, but our big draw was the amazing outdoor space. We used the outdoor eating area, grill, living room, pool, hot tub, sauna, putting green, ping pong table and jungle gym every day. We were three generations of travelers, and it was so nice to have a shaded cozy living room space to watch/listen to sports while having others in the pool or hot tub. The decor in the house is very attractive; it's not filled with dated castoffs as some rentals are. The house is residential and conveniently located by shopping, restaurants and trail heads. There is a nearby vortex and sunset lookouts.
Ventana Roja made our stay in Sedona so comfortable and enjoyable. The location was perfect, close to restaurants, hiking and Pink Jeep. The pool and hot tub were so fun for the kids and it let the adults relax on the patio. I would highly recommend and would be happy to stay again if we come back to visit Sedona!
We celebrated a milestone birthday with family. The property was the perfect size to accommodate our large group, beautifully decorated, clean, and plenty amenities to keep everyone entertained!
This property is incredible. The facilities, the movie room, the pool and jacuzzi are all really great for a group. It is an easy kitchen to cook in and there are plenty of places to sit and eat. We will be back!
Host was fast to respond and very accommodating. Easy to work with. House was amazing for a big group. Made it easy for everyone to have their own space. Would stay here again in an heartbeat.
We had a great time and wish we would have stayed longer. The property was incredible. My children - ages 16, 12, and 9 always had something to do. The pool and hot tub were wonderful, the game room downstairs was equally enjoyed! Thanks for a great time!
It was a great way to end the summer! We celebrated my daughter's birthday touring Sedona and Jerome. Then it was great knowing we could come back to the property and enjoy the pool.
Loved this property and will try and book the next time we are in Sedona.
We had a wonderful stay at this property! It is located in a great neighborhood close to so many trails and just minutes away from uptown Sedona. The property manager communicated very quickly to any questions we had and provided us with great restaurant recommendations. We paid to have the pool heated and it was perfect for relaxing after tough hikes and on chilly evenings. We loved sitting in the hot tub and looking at the stars! The house was very clean and had plenty of room for our family to be together for meals or to watch a movie. The basement game room/TV room was perfect for our teenagers. We would definitely recommend this home and hope to visit again in the future!
What an incredible find. We have stayed in Sedona 7-8 times in the past 5 years and this is one of the best properties by far. The incredible responsiveness of the owner and plethora of amenities was beyond our expectations.
The property is in perfect condition, looks exactly like the photographs and the outdoor dining, pool, spa and fireplace was incredible for entertaining. This is our new go-to property and we’re hoping to make a return visit in the next few months.
We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend here. We roasted marshmallows on the fire pit and gazed at the beautiful stars. We swam in the pool and relaxed in the hot tub, both clean and well maintained.
The only thing I might want to be aware of is that one of the bedrooms has to be walked through to get from the game room/2 upper bedrooms/yoga room and over to the kitchen living area. Just keep in mind if you have a lot of people staying and have privacy concerns. Other wise, it’s a great house and we would definitely visit again.
Visited for a week with family to celebrate a milestone birthday. We really loved Sedona and enjoyed the stay at Ventana Roja. The house is well equipped with everything you might need- lots of towels, kitchen equipment and a gas grill. Pool/hot tub was heated and clean and there are a number of yard games available. The gazebo in the backyard is a great place for coffee or a glass of wine. We started and ended the day out there every day.
We didn't need any assistance, but the host checked in and I felt he was available if we needed anything.
The location is perfect. Far enough out of the way to feel like you're off the grid but 10-15 minutes away from most restaurants and hiking trails.
Definitely recommend it.
I was SO excited to stay here because it seemed like our own little resort, but I wish I spent the money on an actual resort because the value and experience didn't add up.
First, I had to inquire if there was another propane tank because the fire pit wouldn't light. I was told to fetch the extra tank from the shed and hook it up.
Second, a vacuum hose floats around in the pool. The pictures show a beautiful pool without a hose, without dead bugs on top and debris on the bottom, but I was told that the hose is kept in to collect debris...I didn't expect to have to clean the pool myself, too!
Further, the hot tub was cold. The owner was able to warm it up remotely.
A binder would have been helpful on how to use the hot tub because there's about a 10-second delay after pushing "jets" or "waterfall" before the pool or hot tub respond. Pressing "waterfall" cools the hot tub.
The TV volume adjustment isn't obvious, the Smart thermostat takes some getting used to, the curtains in the main bedroom don't provide full coverage/privacy.
And the lights next to the driveway are quite dim and I ended tripping several times at night, so if you choose to go here, you might want to use your phone's light at night.
This place could be perfect for a big family getaway, plenty of parking in the front...the garage was converted into a rec room...(the garage door is a facade, so no extra secure parking in a garage.)

Hey Jayne, I'm sorry I missed the mark during your stay! I do keep the vacuum hose in the pool to collect debris from the pool to keep it crystal clear. Of course, it can be popped out at any time for those seeking a more picturesque view. I'm surprised to hear you had much cleaning as I did have the pool cleaners come back again during your stay the first morning to ensure everything is perfect.
You are correct that the hot tub can be heated (within about 20 minutes) on demand using the buttons next to it. Keeping an uncovered built in hot tub heated 24/7 is not sustainable/cost effective.
I'm sorry you had challenges reading the house guide information in my digital house guide I send out before the stay.
As for lighting, the front door steps are on automated smart lighting at night and there's solar path lighting. Sedona, is a dark sky community and aggressive flood lighting is not permitted to keep the city readily available for stargazing.
The property was incredible. The host was quick to respond. There were so many amenities we needed longer to enjoy it all! We will definitely be staying again soon!
