Serenity

We loved our short stay! The home was very spacious, fitting our family comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked and even had a griddle to make lots of pancakes. The home was very clean and I liked that they provided soap, paper towels, and other toiletries. The market and restaurants were within walking distance. So was the beach! We loved how serene it was in the backyard. The hot tub was amazing! We will definitely book this house again during the warm months to use the pool! In all we had a great time!

Home Away From Home

We had a fantastic stay at Sea Pride! The rooms were clean and cozy, and my husband found the big, comfy sofa in the living room irresistible—he fell asleep every time he sat down. With plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, there was no waiting, which was a huge plus. The washer and dryer worked even better than mine at home, making things so convenient. The jacuzzi was wonderfully relaxing and conveniently located close to our rooms, so we didn’t have to venture far in the cold. We didn’t want to leave, but we’re already planning to return in the summer to enjoy the pool and beach volleyball court!

Hidden home

The house was tucked back in a nice little cul-de-sac. The back yard is very private and quiet at night. House around us were very friendly and welcoming. There was only a few negative things that had to be dealt with. The hot tubs safety switch flipped and it was out of commission for 2 days and the toilet near all the bedrooms never worked and had to be serviced twice for it to finally work. The house has thin walls so if a light sleeper take that into account. But overall the house was wonderful, especially the living area which was at the top and very open. The house is near the grocery store and many shops which is very nice. Early check in is not available on this property even if no one was in front of you so plan travel accordingly.

Amazing house for a bunch of friends!!

I went with a bunch of college friends and our spouses and the house was the perfect setting for us. the neighborhood was beautiful and friendly, the beach was the perfect distance (not too crowded, with free parking) and the house was spacious, clean, and had lots of room for activities. The hot tub had some issues and only turned on once but otherwise we had no issues! such a fun trip and we definitely recommend!

Awesome stay!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Sea Pride. There were a few things that could have made our stay better, but they were minor. The lock on the bathroom on the second level did not work, the middle bedroom door handle was also broken. We told the vacasa company so hopefully these things are fixed. One thing that would make the stay much more enjoyable would be the option to have beach chairs and an umbrella. Finally, we could have also used more garbage bags. Again, minor things! All in all our stay was amazing. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. It was a bit of a walk to the beach but doable. Would definitely stay again.

Worst Vacation Stay EVER!

We were so ready to end this vacation and go home. Property was in desperate need of repairs and maintenance. From the time we checked in until the time we checked out something needed attention. Hate we were the ones having to deal with everything and submit the necessary repairs as we didn't get to enjoy our vacation. From toilets to air conditioning to the grill this stay was THE WORST! Terrible waste of our hard earned $$$! on

We had a fantastic weekend at this home. Fit 10 people perfectly and had enough space for privacy when needed. Had plenty of amenities to keep everyone entertained. Met everyones expectations for a beach house.

Worst rental ever!!!

If I there was ability to rate less than zero, I would have. This was the worst rental ever!! Problems too numerous to mention, however Vacasa corporate customer service has all notes and pictures. Could not get a hold of any local support and would never use them again. We are still waiting to hear back from them regarding compensation. Awful experience!!

Absolutely gorgeous home but beware the pool servicing guy

Home was gorgeous, decorated beautifully and had every little thing we could ask for. Kitchen was well stocked and entire home was probably the cleanest home we have stayed in at the OBX in the almost 20 years we have been visiting. While we were there, we had a visit from the pest management company about and issue the previous renter addressed and he was polite and respectful. The pool service guy was a different story. The first incident we had our Car in the driveway and were on the second floor deck using the hot tub when he just walked right around the house and up on the deck. No notice, no warning nothing. He seemed irritated we were using the hot tub and stated he would be back later in the week. My mother, whom travelled with me and my two young children asked him to please ring the doorbell or at least announce himself upon arriving. (As two women who frequently travel alone and with small children, we like to know who is around.) No response from him. Follow up to a few days later and pool guy returns. We had just gotten out of the hot tub and went into the house and I was changing in the room directly behind the hot tub, my daughter in another room off that deck. No text, no call, no knock, no notification. Just him walking right up to the hot tub and the sliding glass door we were changing in. Luckily I covered my child in time but had to run to shut the blinds. This is ridiculous and completely unsafe especially for a woman/women traveling alone. When he went to leave my mother spoke to him out the front door to show him a door bell and how to knock because apparently he doesn’t know what that is. In all the years we have rented with Hatteras and then Vacasa we have never had an issue with any of the workers or maintenance people, if anything the were much nicer than the ones at home. Sadly, it was a quite scary end to our vacation and we were hesitant to stay so headed out early. Shame on Vacasa for not addressing this issue as my husband called them form home in Pennsylvania and I texted them directly after the incident.

Solid property on sound side

Good home with pool, hot tub, volleyball court, and small game room. Good size rooms and sufficient parking. Only complaint is there were no chairs or tables on the top deck.

Moms Retreat

Overall it worked. The fridge had an issue and they brought us another. The fire pit table didnt work, maintenance said would need to be replaced. 4 rolls of TP 1 for each bathroom isnt enough. You should add more lighting like twinkle lights to hot tub area and pool area. - its was too dark to hang out in the beautiful weather. Plently of seating, main area was open, could have used more outdoor seating on main floor the weather was perfect. And beautiful picture of sunset from sound and beach was 15min walk. You should make a guest book of places to see, how to get to the sound , how to work remote or extra batteries, and wifi password. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Not worth the money

The property is starting to run down, many pieces of furniture are broken, fridge was broken and leaking, many of the tvs wouldn’t connect to the wifi, mini fridges not working, the fire pit table didn’t work, pool and hot tub were not cleaned. The house was very dirty, many dead bugs, not vacuumed, sand everywhere. Looked like it was never cleaned from the previous season. House had potential- but very disappointing based on pictures and descriptions

Amazing experience

The property was amazing and we had a great time. It was fully equipped with everything that one might need when staying there. Proximity to Food lion and Harris teeter was a huge advantage. Hot tub and pool were amazing!

Weekend at the OBX

Planned a last minute trip with 8 friends. The house was large enough to accommodate everyone and had plenty of beds. The property is a short drive away from public parking and many beach access points so we had no trouble getting to the beach. The pool, hot tub and volleyball court were all nice and we enjoyed them in the afternoons/evenings. The listing does say enough room for 6 vehicles in the driveway, however we had 2 small SUVs and 1 truck and had just enough room to fit them all in the driveway. There was also an issue with the grill and we had to cut it off and cut it back on and it worked just fine. Some of the dishes weren’t the cleanest when pulling them out of the cabinet, but they could have been sitting there a while. There was laundry detergent, dish soap, dishwasher pods and a few cleaning supplies that we were able to use as well. We did not have any issues during our stay and did not have to contact management, but I did reach out with questions before the trip and they were quick to respond. Overall, it was a great trip and a great place to stay. We would definitely go back!

Management Company Ruined This Stay

Day 1: 7 hour drive to the OBX. We receive a text at 1:30pm saying check in was available. We show up at 3pm to cleaners still cleaning and a handyman who tells us the water is shut off because he's working on repairing a sink. We let them do their things and ask if we can start unpacking our cars and such. While doing so we are greeted with the following: -Holes in walls -Screen doors off their tracks and propped up against the wall -Broken Sun room screen door -Unfinished dry wall repairs We of course took pictures and messaged Vacasa so that they knew it wasn't us... No response. The handyman for the bathroom leaves at 8PM. Says the water is turned back on but that he has to come back the next day to finish the job. No big deal! The next day comes and we all attempt to shower and wash dishes. Welp, no hot water. No worries we said to ourselves. The handyman is coming back we'll ask him. In the meantime I message Vacasa, VRBO, and then text Vacasa as well. WELL no call/text/or message comes and at 4:30pm we decide we need to not wait around and let them know we've spent nearly 24 hours with no hot water. I call and that's when someone finally said "we'll put a request in". Thankfully the handyman came and fixed it at 5:30PM. It was ridiculous. Throughout the stay there were several other requests that were sent in but it took the management group 6+ hours to respond. When we asked to talk to a local manager we were told "someone will reach out to you" nobody called.
