Perfect little home for our family of 4 by the lake. Loved how it was tucked away. Beautiful kitchen, plenty of games and wonderful hosts.

Wonderful relaxing stay!

Our son had his Master’s Graduation Ceremony in AA. We wanted to be closer but not in AA. This was the best! Super cute and relaxing to hear the water right out the back door!

Cozy lake house near Ann Arbor

We had a great stay at the lake. We were in town for a UM football game. The drive was easy back and forth. The house's gorgeous kitchen and sunroom were great for cooking and entertaining. The beds were very comfortable. The hosts provided kitchen supplies which was very appreciated. The view of the lake from so many rooms is an extra bonus.

Nice home for a family to stay and cruise the chain of lakes

House was as described/pictured. This was more like a home than a cottage. Nice location in quiet neighborhood. The cove was great for docking a boat - you don't have to be concerned about storms. We spent a lot of time on the boat cruising the chain and wake boarding. Like going up north, but without the long drive! Beds were really comfortable - we slept well. We visited Brighton, Dexter and Ann Arbor - all relatively short trips. All in all, a nice stay that we really enjoyed.

Perfection!

Visiting from California. Came back home for a U-M football game. We really loved this home! Alison the owner was very communicative prior to our arrival. Wendi the house manager met us at the house to welcome us. The house is exactly how it is described. We felt so comfortable at the lake house. Kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfy. The owners, Alison & Greg, are very talented artists. Their framed artwork adorns the walls of the house & adds such a personal touch to the feel of the house, it's got great Karma! Two added bonuses...the turntable & the delicious coffee cake! Thanks again Holcombes! Go Blue!

We are part of a big family who loves spending time together and frequently traveling together. We live in Ann Arbor but love this cottage on the waterfront on the nearby Chain of Lakes as a place to escape, kayak, boat between lakes and host gatherings. We put a lot of sweat equity onto renovating it for our own use, but love it so much we decided to share it with other families like ours. Relax and enjoy what this beautiful area has to offer.

Why they chose this property

Our home in right on Whitewood Lake which is part of the Huron River chain of lakes. We think it is a very beautiful home with all of the comforts and amenities you could ask for. We love enjoying the lake views from the front lawn or enclosed sun porch. The porch is a great spot year round, with a large table for playing games or eating. We also have a nice outdoor table in the shade and a large inside island for all of the above.

What makes this property unique

Open floor plan of this home makes for easy flow from all areas and also to the outside. Large mud room entry and plenty of parking.
