About this property
Craftsman Guesthouse in lovely Echo Park
This arts and crafts bungalow is the perfect place for an artist or otherwise design-saavy professional (and perhaps their partner), in need of a modular live/work space in a vibrant, walkable neighborhood. The one-bedroom guesthouse has a wonderful living room with oodles of light. It also features a great built-in banquet dining booth, which turns into an additional bed, if/when needed. We've just installed a brand new heating/air system and OLED TV. The shady, private patio is a nice bonus, especially on hot afternoons.

About the host
Your host
I am a filmmaker and my wife is a textile artist and womenswear designer. Typically we live with our daughter in one of the two units, while renting out the other. We love to travel and we enjoy hosting other unique travelers at our echo park home.
Why they chose this property
Echo Park is hip, yet historic. People are diverse in age and race, and typically more down-to-earth than other LA neighborhoods. Our specific neighborhood, Angelino Heights, is the oldest in all of LA, featuring numerous spectacular late Victorian and California Craftsman homes. The family-friendly area is ideally located between downtown and silverlake, and walkable to Echo Park Lake as well as several of the coolest restaurants and bars on the city's east side.
What makes this property unique
Built-Ins. Killer BBQ setup. Great sunset view. Walkable to fantastic restaurants and bars. Lovely neighborhood and neighbors. Cool Owners. : )
