About the host
Hosted by Ocean

I am of Haitian descent and lived most of my life in New York (Brooklyn and Peekskill). I relocated to Costa Rica with my partner Kahlil and our pup a short-legged Jack Russel Terrier named Jax on March 31 2022. We took a huge leap of faith, choosing to live the PURA VIDA life and being closer to nature. I'm a professional photographer, and also offer photoshoots for our guests (for an extra charge). I'm one of the friendliest people you'll ever meet, or so I've been told. :) I'm a student of LIFE and love living in Puerto Viejo!
Why they chose this property
My partner and I came to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca two years ago for the first time. We immediately feel in love with the whole "vibe" of the place. The people were friendly and accommodating, the beauty is immense and the "pull" we felt was strong. We love being so close to the Caribbean Sea and living in a town with a rich Afro-carib history and culture. Needless to say, after two more trips to the area within the last two years, we returned to New York where we are from and sold our house and all of our belongings, resigned from our jobs and relocated to Paradise.
What makes this property unique
The peace and tranquility I experience on this property is palpable. Being surrounded by wildlife, lush tropical jungle, pristine beach and good weather is good for the soul! We are proud of what we built and work to ensure our guests have the best experience possible!
