Fantastic hosts made our stay a trip to remember. The cabin was perfect and the Lena Cove view was captivating. We highly recommend this property to anyone who wants an amazing SE Alaska experience!
Super clean and amazing location. We have kids and it was nice to have a place for them to be outside while visiting Juneau. For those with kids, there isn’t a door for the upstairs room so noise carries (example: grind your coffee the night before so you can quietly make it in the morning before the kids get up). Beds and pillows were nothing special but clean linens and it works. The house is well stocked so good to check out the place before going to the store for food or supplies. Very responsive host when we couldn’t get the WiFi working and needed more towels. Really it’s such a beautiful spot and we would definitely stay again.
We had such a special week with our family at this awesome cabin right on the water. The views and beach/water access are unbeatable. We watched boats, even saw a few whales, made sand castles on the beach with our grandson, had a campfire on the beach and saw tons of bald eagles. The cabin is very cozy and charming but also updated with a nice bathroom and kitchen. We highly recommend!
This cabin was spectacular. The waterfront location with beach access cannot be beat. And the cabin was moments from our local family. This will be our go to place to stay for years to come. Thank you Joy for this amazing home.
Even saw a bear eating apples the final day. Juneau is beautiful. Amazing view from the cabin.

It's always magical to see wildlife up close in the yard. Thanks for taking precautions and being mindful of the bears. They are happiest when left alone and eating. Grateful for guests like you who are communicative and leave the place in great shape for the next visitors.
Spent impromptu spring break at this charming cabin on the water. Non stop parade of water fowl, otters, seals and sea lions. Will definitely stay here again next time we're in Juneau.

Happy that you enjoyed your stay and in particular appreciated the waterfowl! The ducks, loons, eagles and other bird life around the cabin is such a fun part of the experience.
This cozy cabin was our home away from home while exploring gorgeous Juneau. The small bbq and fire pit are a great way to close out any day. We watched seals, otters, eagles and tour boats from the comfort of the dining room. It’s close to the airport and far enough away from cruise traffic.
The property was spot on as advertised. The hosts gave us great tips on fishing, restaurants etc
The view over the water is hard to leave to explore elsewhere ! Loved our first visit to Alaska 💜

Thank you! You were wonderful guests. Very communicative and open for adventure. Appreciate you sharing your photos with us and hope to see you again!
Beautiful home with amazing views. The host Joy was a joy to work with. Joy goes the extra mile to ensure her guests are well taken care of. This home sits on Auke Bay right on the water. Breathtaking views. The home is very clean, cozy and comfortable. The home is not too far from downtown Juneau but far enough for beauty, nature and wildlife. We had the best time ever. So nice, we did not want to leave.
While Juneau is already isolated from the rest of Alaska, this renovated 1929 Scandinavian log cabin places you on the far edge of town, right on the coast, and with incredible views of the ocean and surrounding wildlife. The property has all the amenities of home, but the environment pulls you to the panoramic view of the maritime highway, watching the tides rise and fall throughout the day. Great hosts, clean cabin, comfortable beds & warm wood stove. Amazing stay!

Very much appreciate the lovely review! We are relieved that all went well despite the weather. As you found out, it's a cozy place to slow down and enjoy the scenery. Thanks for being great guests.
This cabin met our needs perfectly and the waterfront location provided endless entertainment. The iconic beauty of Juneau is on full display here. The house is comfortable, clean and furnished with everything needed- felt like home. The location is far enough from the downtown bustle of cruise ship activities to be serene, yet still convenient to access everything with 15 minute drive. Do take the recommendation for 4 wheel drive vehicle seriously because the gravel driveway is very steep.
I can not say enough great things about this property and host! The cabin is just as listed and offers a view that can not be beat! The host was responsive, helpful, kind and provided all the information needed in plenty of notice. The location was outside of downtown offering more peace but was a very quick drive to anything you could need and convenient for the airport! We loved it here, we loved the state and would recommend to anyone!
We loved this cabin from the moment we walked in! Rustic but clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for our family of 4 and the kids loved being able to look for rocks on the beach right outside the front door or sit by the firepit. Close enough to town so that it's no big deal to drive in each day but far out enough to get your dose of wilderness. Make sure you have the right vehicle for getting down that steep driveway!

We are so please you had a wonderful time. The treasures you can find on the beach are ever changing from day to day. Sounds like your kids figured that out! Thank you for being a communicative guest and leaving the place in excellent condition for our next visitors.
We absolutely loved staying here. The cabin is well stocked with everything you need to have dinner with the best views in Juneau We made sure we were back in time for eagle roost. Neighbors are generous and kind. Great beach to walk quick to glacier many hikes. A 4wd is recommended if you want to park by house. Only 20 min to town Extend the time you plan to stay here. You won’t regret it oh and the communication and recommendations are top notch. Thank you
The cabin was beautiful and inviting ... and off the beaten path. We loved having our morning coffee at the kitchen table overlooking the beautiful water and a nice fire outside by the shoreline. We had a bear cub visit (not sure where mama bear was), along with several eagles and about six seals. We did not see any whales, though (sad face).
The only reason I gave this a 4-star on the overall rating was because we had to buy our own firewood or use any leftovers from the previous guests (which, of course, there weren't any leftover). However, this was a beautiful property and I highly recommend it.
We had the privilege of staying at Joy's cabin over the 2024 Labor Day weekend. The beach house and the home site were all spectacular. The house had everything we needed with clear instructions on the heat and amenities it offered.. We saw eagles, dolphins and deer eating apples right in front of the cabin on our last morning. We even enjoyed the occasional cruise ship making an exit from the port at night. Joy has several great suggestions in a well organized binder for her guests along with a literal library of books to enjoy. The only drawback was that our wonderful weekend came to an end and we had to leave. Thanks for a great memory and making our first Alaska trip so special.
