First time in Maine

This house was a great home base for our time in the Acadia Region. We found it just as described in the listing: comfortable, cozy, in a quiet location, well appointed. Would not hesitate to recommend to a friend.

Excellent Vrbo experience

This was a clean, peaceful, comfortable house that I would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends. It was nice having the pamphlets for area attractions and the guest journal so we could see what previous guests recommended in the area.

Fantastic stay - well appointed property!

Recently stayed at Amy’s Gull House and we had a great time. Had all the comforts of home and very accessible to the beach and a family reunion we had in nearby Lamoine. Amy was very responsive and would definitely stay again!

Great house on a quiet street

We spent 4 nights here for our trip to Acadia National park. It was perfectly located between the main part of Acadia on Mount Desert Island and the Schoodic Peninsula part of Acadia. Check-in was a breeze the house was super clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed hanging out in the yard playing on the swing or lounging in the hammock. As a bonus, Tidal Falls is right down the street where the kids loved hanging out searching for crabs and sea stars every evening at low tide

The perfect spot!

This is a gem! Located outside of the hustle and bustle of MDI, but close enough to get to MDI and experience all it has to offer. The owners thought of everything you could have needed to make the stay comfortable. There was just the right amount of dishes/supplies to meet all our needs. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Enjoyable place to stay with minor quirks

My dad and I stayed here for four nights. Overall the house was a great place to stay at; it was very clean, well stocked, and was plenty of space for the two of us. The only issue that stuck out to me was that there was a noticeable new paint smell throughout the house. Some minor quirks we noticed: the washer had the hot and cold lines swapped and the blinds were installed backwards (both of these have been remedied since). It’s not too far from Acadia and the neighborhood is especially quiet and relaxed.

Great private location to explore Acadia's beauty

My husband, 8 year old daughter, and I loved this property. This house was so cute and the pictures don't show how big, green, and private the property is. Pictures were accurate with the newer updates and furnishings and the place was super clean. We only had 2 full days to explore the area before returning home from a family get together in northern Maine. It was perfect location between Acadia's Schoodic Peninsula (our favorite!) - 25 mins and Mt Desert Island/Bar Harbor - 35/40 mins. Tidal Falls Preserve was a few minutes away and a cute area to explore also! I loved this house and the area and wished we had more time to stay. We had a group of wild turkeys running through the yard on our return to the home our last night! I had a question about places to get groceries before we arrived and got a quick reply from the host. I would definitely stay here again.

Cute coastal cottage

Extremely clean cottage located near a few serene parks and a 40 min drive into the heart of Bar Harbor. Beds were a bit soft for our liking, but that’s just a personal preference. Few suggestions on things we missed: a vacuum or hand vacuum (with the hikes & and surrounding area shoes get dirty quickly) some spices and olive oil for cooking. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage in great location!

Lovely, updated two-bedroom house in a beautiful setting! Situated half-way between two Acadia National Park destinations - the more popular (and more crowded) Mt Desert Island/Bar Harbor and the beautiful (less crowded) Schoodic Peninsula. The house was clean and well-cared for with newer appliances and the convenience of a washer and dryer. Check-in and out was simple and Amy made herself available but we had absolutely no issues during our stay. Would definitely stay again!

Comfortable & Clean

The property was exactly as advertised. Quiet, clean & comfortable! Kitchen was well stocked. Washer & dryer were a plus. Unfortunately, I had to work some while on vacation, but the Wi-Fi worked great. Owner was friendly, helpful & responded quickly to messages. Thanks for a great stay!

Great location for visiting Acadia National Park

After all the summer crowds disappear, we drove to Acadia National Park Hulls Cove Visitor center in 36 minutes and Acadia National Park area at Schoodic Point (didn't know existed in 25 minutes. The cottage was a great resting spot for enjoying the whole area. The kitchen was fully stocked with every cooking utensils, pots, frying pans, plates, glasses etc. The outside deck chairs and table were comfortable sitting out reading a book or watching a family of deer or turkeys walk past. We setup our charging station in the kitchen next to the kueric.

Private getaway but not too far away!!!!

The home met all of our expectations. Our family of 5 fit just fine and had everything we needed for our stay. The home was very clean and we enjoyed our time here exploring the area. Tidal Falls is amazing at low tide. We found many starfish and crab in the tidal pools. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor were a short drive. We had a blast hiking and exploring the park and visiting the shopping town. You must hike the "beehive trail" at Acadia the views are breathtaking. Went for breakfast at "2 cats restaurant and inn" in Bar Harbor. Excellent home cooked meals!! I highly recommend this property to anyone staying in this area, you won't be disappointed!!

Cute Little cottage

Very nice cottage. Bed could have been a little softer, but it was ok. Very clean and neat. Never had time to check out the hammock in the back, but looked delightful. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay in Maine

Our family had a great stay at this house. It had great Decor and we were happy with the full-size washer dryer, and the nice coffee bar. We enjoyed it as our home base and drove into Acadia NP for hiking and sightseeing. We were very pleased with the accommodations.

Great stay at Amy's house

We enjoyed our stay in Amy's house. Everything in the house was nice, clean and new. We stayed for few nights and did not have any problem at all. The house is very well equipped with all that a visiting family may need. The owners are very friendly and provided all information and instructions we needed. Overall, I can highly recommend this place.

Wondeful stay, great place and convenient location!

Great property, very clean and well stocked. Family and I had a blast. Good location, one that isn’t too crowded but not too far away either. Highly recommend checking out Tidal Falls while you are there!!
