The Place is located just outside the city limits on 75 private acres with a pond, swimming pool, and plenty of nature. With three bedrooms, three baths, 900 square feet of porches and plenty of beautiful oak and cedar trees, it’s just the place to relax and unwind.

The Perfect Country Getaway

This property was ideal for a private, relaxing weekend with people you love. The open concept of the kitchen, dining, and living spaces were perfect for cooking and eating together. The sleeping space was great for a large group, and the bunk room was such a nice touch so everyone could have their own space! There were tons of family-friendly amenities, including baby crib, high chair, toys, etc. The back patio and pool area were a DREAM, and we stayed in the pool the entire stay. The property had the sweetest dog and cat that lived outside, and we became fast friends with them. We would love to come back in the future!

Nice amenities

It is a nice house but found it odd that it was their every day home and didn’t expect to find their toiletries in the shower, leftovers in fridge , etc. We found it hard to relax , feeling like in someone’s home. The house is beautiful , pool is nice. Needs to get exterminator - got stung by a scorpion and swarms of bumble bees and wasps on porch.

Hi Kristy, the toiletries were for your use. As far as bugs go, the house is in the country, and there are occasionally going to be bugs of every kind, especially in the spring when it is rainy. I am clear that I occupy the house when it is not being rented, and I leave day to day items like milk, eggs, condiments, etc. for your use as well as giving you access to all my spices and dry staples in the pantry. I want you to feel as though you can use the home as your own. I'm sorry that was not your experience.

Loved the pool

The house has many great amenities and Lawanda is a wonderful host! Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and sleeping in bunk beds. However, our daughter had an allergic reaction to the cats on the property. We didn't know about the cats until the day of. There is also a dog on property, but thankfully none of us have allergies to dogs.

Great cabin enjoyed the pool and hot tub after we got the temp down to 104. The kitchen was big a lot of different things to use. The coffee was great. Now things not so good both tubs upstairs didn’t drain right. The propane was out so my brought over his sons grill. Be side that great place to stay be back next year. Lived in the pool the 4 days. Thanks

Why they chose this property

The Place is our little oasis from the world. Beautiful trees, a pool, and a wonderful porch and home make it the ideal place to get away and enjoy some alone time or spend time with the family.

What makes this property unique

We are only about a five minute drive to downtown Sulphur Springs, though you would never know it. We are also conveniently close to the Arena for all of you cowboys and cowgirls, and the ballfields.
