We are Gary and Ellen and we are living out the dream we didn't even know we had as Campground Owners. After losing our corporate jobs ON THE SAME DAY when Covid first began, we decided to make a major life change, move away from all our friends and family and everything familiar and leave the hustle and bustle of suburban and city life for the beautiful Cooperstown countryside. We never looked back. THIS RIGHT HERE is what we were meant to do and we are LOVING EVERY MOMENT OF IT! Maybe not so much pumping out the sewer tanks ;-), but definitely everything else. Welcome to our dream!

Why they chose this property

When we first decided to become campground owners we made a wish list. Being in a beautiful country town with a major attraction and a village, like Cooperstown was #1 on our list. So, we sold everything we had to make that dream a reality. It was SOOOO worth it!

The unique benefit to staying with us at Cooperstown Shadow Brook Campground is that in addition to the many amenities the campground offers, there are tons of things to do in and around Cooperstown... the Baseball Hall of Fame, Abner Doubleday Field, Dreams Park, the Farmer's Museum, the Fenimore Art Museum, the Glimmerglass Opera House, Glimmerglass State Park, Otsego Lake, Council Rock, Howe Caverns, the Herkimer Diamond Mines, dozens of award-winning restaurants, antiquing, and the gorgeous countryside just scratches the surface. No matter how long you stay, you will ALWAYS leave regretting you didn't have just a little more time.
