About this property

Rustic Retreat Cottage sleeps 6 with a lake view!

The Rustic Retreat sleeps 6 w/2 bedrooms & a loft. Knotty pine throughout the house has been preserved wonderfully in this cottage! Enjoy sitting on the screened in porch with a table & chairs for eating or playing games. The deck has a patio table, chairs & a view of Lake Huron! Bdrm 1 has a queen, bdrm 2 & the loft each have 2 twins. There is a fully equipped kitchen, living room with a new couch, large screen TV, an AC & hardwood floors throughout.

The Rustic Retreat is only 4.2 miles south of downtown Lexington! The yard has a fire pit, picnic table and lots of room to play corn hole, volleyball, badminton with a view of Lake Huron!

This cottage is located in a mature treed friendly neighborhood. Bring your bikes!

It is recommended to bring your car to enjoy everything that Lexington has to offer!

- One Dog is allowed but you must get permission first before you rent this cottage. The dog must stay off of the furniture, on a leash when outside, feces picked up and treated for the prevention of fleas and ticks. There is an additional $50 fee to bring your dog.
HOUSE RULES:

- No more than 2 cars on site
- Do NOT park on road or in neighbors'way!
- All furniture must be put back where it is found!
- No Shoes on while inside the home
- Only 1 dog is allowed with PRIOR permission. $50.00 additional cost. Dog must stay off of the furniture, on a leash when outside, feces picked up and treated for the prevention of fleas and ticks.
- Quiet hours are from 11 PM to 8 AM
- Please respect our neighbors by not having loud music or by yelling and using profanity (many are permanent residents!)
- Garabage must be bagged up, put into trash bins at the end of the drive way at departure.
- You must be 25 or older to rent this cottage
- No tents, campers or motor homes are allowed

Excellent location, beach right across the street

As advertised the place is rustic, but comfortable. Beach right across the street. Myself and 3 grandkids stayed here looking to be close to the beach. The cabin was small but 6 people can comfortably sleep here.

Lovely neighborhood. Very friendly and quiet. Short w to multiple beaches. Be advised there are steps to get to the beach. Cabin itself was very cute and cosy. Locks to the bathroom a d doors were our only as they are orginal and times difficult to use. Communication with rental company was excellent. Would definitely come again!

Rustic Peace

Nice quaint cabin which takes you back in time. Also great view of Lake. Nice area for bonfires and listening to the leaves of the trees and feeling the Lake breezes. Love the closeness to dining and shops in Lexington. Great management team will help with any questions!!

Very nice

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. It's located in a lovely subdivision and is literally steps from Lake Huron, where you can watch the sun come up if you're an early riser. It's about a five minute drive to Lexington, the closest beach/resort town. Very relaxing atmosphere.

This very clean and well maintained rustic cabin in a quiet setting is perfect for a romantic getaway! This is a legitimate antique cottage with most of the modern amenities but should be appreciated for its age and uniqueness. We were not disappointed and wish we would have booked it longer. We’ve booked other places with various results…This is a gem!

Rustic cabin that is as described

Nobody all everything was as expected. No complaints. Cabin is not fancy but I knew that when I booked it and it's exactly what I expected. It has all the amenities you need including a portable air conditioner. If you want fancy go someone else but if you want something that works in budget-friendly here you go.

Quaint and cozy

The property name “ Rustic retreat” definitely fits this property. It is very cozy, warm and inviting. Although this property is in a subdivision of other cottages, it was very quiet and the neighbors were very friendly, inside the cottage The atmosphere Is very welcoming. The yard is bigger than what you would expect. I would recommend bringing yard games, such as cornhole/ladder golf. I would definitely recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet getaway And it is not too far from downtown if you would like to experience some of the action of Lexington.

Cute place.. nice beach nearby

Cute place-could have been cleaner. Floors were dirty and corners hadn’t been swept/dusted in a bit. Really liked 1 queen/4 twin setup. Nice, large yard with fire ring. Several beaches in the neighborhood—all have stairs to get down to the beach (a note for those with mobility issues—there are benches “topside” if you want to just sit and look out over the water). If planning to use the oven, bring a thermometer. No numbers on the dial. We were there celebrating my son’s bday and had to pick up a thermometer in order to bake his cake. Grill tools were left in the grill. Did our best to clean those up. Microfiber sheets-👎Overall, would stay again but would bring an oven thermometer, our own grill tools and cotton sheets. 😄
