Enjoy quality time spent with family & friends while staying in this luxurious log home in Cedar River Village, Shanty Creek Resort. This home has all the amenities you're used to and more plus it's nestled on a wood lot on the first hole of the golf course which makes this getaway a golfer's dream!

As you walk in the front door, you will notice the gorgeous view of the tree filled property, but be enveloped in the warmth of the home. The great room with its 2-story stone fireplace is where you can relax & enjoy conversation with others, or watch a movie on the 75" Smart TV. The main level of the home has an exquisite 1st floor Master Bedroom with attached Master Bath that includes a 2-sink vanity, shower, and a whirlpool tub. Both upstairs bedrooms have their own bathroom with tub and shower and the loft offers an added sleeping area.

The spacious kitchen makes fixing a family meal a breeze, and the dining room is perfect for meals, or playing cards or games with friends. The octagon breakfast room provides more seating for meals. The lower level Rec Room has a smart 75" TV and 2 EZ up Queen size inflatable beds. You'll find plenty of board games, puzzles and more here. An additional bathroom with shower serves this area and the three other sleeping areas located on this level.

The outdoors awaits you, so be sure to take time to relax on the wrap-around porch and deck overlooking the golf course, and the waterfall in the backyard. Enjoy the beauty of gorgeous northern Michigan summer days. In winter, the tubing hill is a short walk away, and you can purchase your lift tickets for Schuss Mountain at Cedar River Lodge. The chair lift is just outside the door of the lodge. Definitely a Winter-Summer Wonderland!

Wonderful house for groups!

We loved the house, it was even better in person and we loved being able to walk to the ski hill and the access to the resort pools. Jeannine was so helpful when we had questions and we would definitely stay again!

Best golf trip rental yet

This place far exceeded what we have ever rented for a golf trip! 7th year trip and this was the best place by far. Jeanine was a pleasure to work with and made things feel very personable. Love the seclusion and the room for all 14 of us! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this amazing property :-)

Family Reunion July 16-20, 2023

This Log Cabin style home had a very warm ‘home’ feeling and was very comfortable for all indoor and outdoor. It was very close to grocery stores, and outdoor activities in the area. Very short drives to Petoskey, and surrounding sites. Great location and the home had everything that could have been needed for any occasion.

Fantastic Mega House

We rented this house for a family reunion for 4 separate families. Beautiful house with lots of space. Enough rooms for a bathroom for each family, bedrooms for adults, and common areas in the basement with lots of inflatable beds and options for either kids or adults. Had a great time.

Magical Weekend

I surprised my partner with an up north weekend with us and 18 of our closest friends. The log home was absolutely stunning and in beautiful condition. The details in this home left us in awe. The host has nearly everything you could ever need up there which was a huge help. We can not wait to get up north again and when we do, we hope to have the opportunity to stay here again. We had a great time in Michigan. The place was immaculate and in a beautiful area. The kitchen was well-stocked and there was a ton of space for everyone to enjoy. We had a family group of 17 of all ages and we all felt so comfortable and at home. She had just about everything in the kitchen you would ever need! She communicated well and gave us great tips for the stay. One suggestion would be more paper towels. We had one roll for 5 days for 17 people and had to go buy a package. Not a huge deal but it wouldn’t have been nice to have. Overall we had a great time and would visit again. Highly recommend!
