About this property
Tiny House along the Delaware Scenic Byway
True to being a 'tiny home', this property boasts a minimalist stay. Better than any traditional hotel room, it offers a comfy bed with premium bedding, clean bathroom, convenience of a kitchenette and dining table, as well as close parking! A great place to serve as your nightly rest stop as you explore Delaware County and the surrounding communities by day. Even better if that means you don't have to stay at the in-laws!
The kitchenette is equipped with almost any equipment you should need to cook a simple stove top meal (consumables not included). We think you'll find the home is spacious enough as is. However, if you need more space, the Murphy bed can be stored and the dining table and chairs fold up.
Local attractions include Lake Delhi, The Field of Dreams, Manchester Fish Hatchery, Bailey's Ford Park, Backbone State Park, Manchester Whitewater Park, Sundown Ski Mountain, and many others!
Quick access to surrounding communities such as Manchester (9 min), Delhi (7 min), Earlville (5 min), Dyersville (16 min), Edgewood (16 min), and Dubuque (45 min).
Travel crib available upon request.
The owners live on the same property- quickly available for any requests without any expectation to ever meet you.

What makes this property unique
Who hasn't driven by this tiny home and wondered what is inside? Built in 1997, it was referred to as the [train] "Depot" by the previous owner. This property once had a full size railway. After it was decommissioned, a 1:8 scale rail with functioning train was added to the property. Many local residents recall the train being here as the previous owner gave rides to thousands over the years. The rail and train were relocated to the Elkader Train Museum in 2022. The "tiny house" was renovated and opened to public rental in 2025.
