Apartament was exactly as I. Pictures. Very comfortable and clean. Smoke kitchen amenities. Easy walk across bridge into Colonial Zone. Staff were friendly and I felt very safe there.

Santo Domingo Trip

The apartment is nice, but the location listed is not accurate. The building is across the river from Zona Colonia with many things to do a 10 minute walk from the front doors, however, many times when walking to and from dinners or sightseeing in Zona Colonia we were stopped by locals and military telling us it was not safe to be out walking in that area. While we didn’t experience anything of the sort it was still unsettling to be stopped and warned by so many strangers. We decided to use Uber most every time we left because of this and the only other issue was the building is located on a very busy street with no easy access to be picked up by a car. The apartment itself has the ability to park a rented car, which we did after taking a trip to Punta Cana, but I would highly suggest working out those details prior to checking in. The building manager and those that work at the front desk were extremely helpful but be prepared for a language barrier if you don’t have fluent Spanish. Overall the apartment is very good value for the price we paid, but I chose it specifically based on location which was represented inaccurately so we were disappointed upon check in and had to make various other accommodations to make it work well for us.
