About this property

Ross Peak View Retreat @forthelovefarms

A unique country setting near Bozeman along the base of Bridger Mountains with stunning views of the city lights below. A natural spring whispers through & 4 gorgeous lilypad topped ponds (ice skate rinks in winter) with lush gardens. A tree shaded gazebo area with a mini beach, BBQ, & fire pit provides an enchanting entertainment opportunity.

**IMPORTANT** Pets require a pre-booking conversation & we kindly ask you read the house rules before booking & read over all details before booking:)

The space
This 5 acre start-up farm provides an oasis for foxes, birds, deer, and elk. Animal sounds and viewing are abundant. In addition to the wildlife, we have chicken hens that provide nutrient rich organic eggs that you are more than welcome to gather and include in your breakfast.

A scenic country drive (15-20 minutes to/from Bozeman, Belgrade, Manhattan or the Airport). National Forest and numerous trailheads within minutes. 5 minutes to small stream trout fishing along the East Gallatin River.

40 min. drive to Bridger Bowl Ski Resort - 1hr. 20 min to Big Sky Resort

1.5 hr to Yellowstone North Entrance (Gardiner) - 2hr. to West Entrance (West Yellowstone)

This listing is for a furnished, private 2bed 1 bath space in the main home with its own private entrance. This space features an expansive private wrap around deck, a full kitchen, 2 living room areas & a dining area. A lockable door connects to a shared laundry room that connects a separate, 2 bed 1 bath listing in the other wing of the house. If you would like to book both spaces, please inquire.

Owners run an offsite outfitting & adventure business so are happy to outfit & arrange adventures/experiences for guests.

**IMPORTANT NOTES**

We’ve painted a nice picture for you and it is no less than absolute majestical here but please know this place is not a brand new Big Sky Luxury McMansion. It is whimsical, eccentric, quirky, & rustic. A private space, but a communal feel here. We hope that can be embraced.

Below the space is our granny wing of the house where we might be, granny, or farm workers. Please take note that there is some NOISE TRANSFER between the spaces.

We have kiddos & farm animals to keep safe here so if traveling with an animal (even a service animal) that’s a must-have pre-booking discussion as we are not required to host if we have safety concerns. There is also a bit of a jungle leading to the one of the living rooms with 30+ year old plants that we would like to keep intact.

We currently starting a farm on the property so may be chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats running amok or farm equipment operating. We live in another house in the corner of the property with our 7 year old daughter & a sweet mannered golden retriever. We may also have family staying with us at any given time.

We also kindly ask a bit more info yourselves & nature of stay.

We state up to 6 guests in the listing with the thought of larger families with kiddos that co-sleep, and/or have 1 or 2 other adults. 6 adults is likely not a good fit. There is a king bed in the master bedroom, 2 twin beds in the 2nd bedroom & a fold out couch in one living room, and another couch in the living room. We can supply sleeping bags, a cot, and extra bedding if needed, please let us know how we can set things up for you.

A Perfect Family Retreat: Outstanding Location, Flexibility, and Charming Farm Animals
This great Bozeman getaway exceeded all expectations. We were captivated by the enchanting location, exceptional flexibility and service provided by the owners, and the delightful presence of farm animals. Nestled amidst breathtaking scenery, we were treated to stunning views that instantly transported us to a world of tranquility. The property itself was well maintained, and we found ourselves surrounded by nature's beauty at every turn. The owners were very friendly and attentive to accommodate our needs and ensure our comfort throughout our stay. The farm animals on the property was an unexpected delight. Our entire family were thrilled to interact with the friendly animals. Feeding and interacting with the goats, chickens, and ducks added an extra layer of charm to our stay. Furthermore, the owners' commitment to maintaining a high level of service was evident in every detail. The property was clean and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Any questions we had were promptly addressed. In conclusion, we highly recommend this stay to anyone seeking a truly memorable getaway. The combination of the picturesque location, the outstanding flexibility and service from the owners, and the joy of interacting with the farm animals made our stay truly exceptional. It's a place where cherished memories are made, and we cannot wait to return. Thank you, Kalen and Clarissa, for providing such a wonderful experience. We can't wait to return!

Family, Friends and Outdoor Adventures are our passions. Get closer and you'll see we are a simple hard-working family juggling life, work and raising a beautiful 7 year child, 1 sweet golden retriever, 1 Maincoon kitty, and 12 ish chickens, ducks, turkeys... the list might go on. Clarissa, the brains behind our humble abode is a more than full-time Mother, a Licensed REALTOR® & Montana land/buy/sell/investing expert, Ice-skating couch, part-time front line health care worker as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist @ Bozeman Health. She also on top of it all volunteers her time for local non-profit that hosts fundraisers that directly benefits our local community. The hubs - (Kalen Higton) operates an outdoor adventure business called Global Expeditions & cherishes every moment spent on the land with kids & family learning about bugs, soil, & farm animals. Our long-term goal is to morph this 5acre homestead into a thriving ecological, more sustainable, farm & food forest that offers abundance to community, guests, wildlife, & generations to come. At times Kalen can be seen down the road working on restoring a pretty neat historic schoolhouse / soon to be restored community center We would love to connect our guests to our local local farmers & goods producers. Farm to table dinners, agricultural related experiences, educational seminars, let's make it happen!

Why they chose this property

Just on the outskirts of the city, the community of Reese Creek is nestled at the foothills of the Bridger Mountains. A very rural, friendly community feel here with strong connections to the land & agriculture. There are several family farms nearby that produce everything from hay to lamb to flowers that showcase the beauty to found here.

What makes this property unique

A one of kind multi level home featuring expansive decks, living spaces, a living plant hallway with striking views of the valley below. Gardens, food forest, mini-beach with ponds and a meandering spring below a canopy of tree-cover. Oh! of course the farm animals.
