This was our second stay at this property. The house is well furnished. The pier makes this an absolute must of you have your own boat. Plenty of room inside to watch baseball, work a puzzle and feast.
This is our 2nd visit there. Great location on the banks of Sabine Lake. Very roomy home as well as the grounds. Plenty of parking space for multiple vehicles. Brought my 21 foot boat an could easily turn it around. Very nice fishing dock. Three boat launches very close by. Store nearby with everything you need and live bait! Look forward to returning.
We requested a reservation for the days we selected and the property manager got back with us very soon with yes. He communicated with us from the day of the conformation until the time of us writing this review. All in all we enjoyed our stay and plan to come again. A very lovely property and we caught a lot of fish, but the one that stands out is the huge red.
First, the location was perfect for fishing and crabbing. We were able to dock our boat during our stay. The house... Wow. Plenty of space. Great a/c! Beautiful views and plenty of parking. Owner was easy to communicate with. Felt very secure with a gated property. Thank you!
Amazing property. Large space for most outdoor activity. Clean kitchen and living spaces. Multiple beds in each room. Fishing off the pier was nice also.
Colby was awesome…. This property is my favorite place to stay, fish, and relax along the Texas Gulf. The house is clean and the lighted dock is a great place to fish and relax with family. Will definitely be back and would recommended this property to anyone.
Great house and just as described. Perfect for a family, lots of room. Kitchen has everything you need to cook, and the outdoor area is beautiful. If you have a boat it’s very easy to pull up to the dock and tie up during the day when not fishing. Highly recommend for anyone looking for first class accommodations in this area. Owner very responsive and simple property access process.
Every year we rent a house somewhere between Florida and Corpus Christi By far for the money this was the most gorgeous and well maintained place we have stayed. Great house, great fishing, crabbing and great atmosphere
Very clean, peaceful and roomy place for our family!
This was a perfect place to bring all the family together! This was a very clean and peaceful place. We had a blast just fishing off the dock and listening to some music. The indoor and outdoor space was perfect for us. We held a Graduation Party for my nephew and had plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy time together. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!
We had a great stay at this house while visiting state parks in the Port Arthur area. The house is clean, well cared for, and spacious. The beds were comfy, and the kitchen was well-stocked. Our kids loved playing in the yard. Only thing to note if you have young kids - the kitchen is on the second floor; we had to play a lot of zone defense to keep our little one from the stairs!
We are New Orleans area residents who needed a COVID break from being homebound for four months, but we also wanted an isolated location where we could relax and fish. This was the perfect location. The property is beautiful and well maintained; the fishing was plentiful and fun. We brought our pirogues but truthfully spent most of the time on the pier/dock just chilling with our crab nets and fishing poles. Visited nearby beaches for shell combing. Ate what we caught and just breathed. We will for sure be back. If you are coming from the east in Louisiana, we recommend getting off at Sulphur and taking the beachroad into the property. Saves time and highway stress! This is a great fishing camp, sleeps easily 10 on up probably to 15. Just a lot of fun and couldn't ask for a nicer getaway. Thank you Colby!!!
This property was perfect. Super clean with everything you needed in the home and everything you needed from nature outside. Colby was a great host and fishing guide. We will be back to the lodge. Really loved the place. See you soon.
We had a great time. The house is beautiful, super clean, comfortable and with enough space and entertaining for everyone. Definitely, a nice getaway!!
My family enjoyed the property so much we will definitely be back. Perfect for large fishing family and the grounds and house were well kept and clean. Had everything we needed. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and do their thing. Boat dock was nice too.
Our team enjoyed our stay at this property. There were many activity options for the boys. The facilities were very accommodating to our needs. We certainly plan to return next year.

Not worth what I paid.
Owner knew I was coming with my boat but his was in the boat dock lift. Many light switches did not work. Bedroom doors loud and squeaky. Had to oil the hinges myself. Mouse in one bedroom. Dock very high for boat. Had to leave my boat against dock. Windy and got some damage to boat tied to his dock. Fish cleaning station was littered with trash that I cleaned myself. Only one T.V in livingroom. None in any bedrooms. Could not use garage to park one of our vehicles. Owner required no shoes in house. I really feel I deserve some money refunded. Definately not worth what I paid per nite.

Fun!
We (family of 5) rented the upstairs only for a night which was is usual, but I wanted to try it out for a possible longer stay. Needless to say I will be back! The grounds were awesome and fishing off the dock was incredible!

STUNNING
Over the years we've rented a number of vacation homes. I can think of one that met our expectations. Some came close to what we expected and some were major disappointments. Based on the Sabine Lake Lodge listing's photographs we had very high expectations. High as they were they were somewhat exceeded by what we found. The Sabine Lake Lodge is stunning in every way. Where to start? The bold architecture? The fantastic views and the interior's beautiful use of space and the lighting and the decoration? In the evenings as I walked about the upper floor I felt as if I were in a copy of Architectural Digest.
The place was spotlessly clean. Curtis was a total gentleman to deal with and he responded quickly to any questions we had. We felt spoiled.

Home away from Home!
Loved it! The house is cozy, was very clean, the pool table was a nice surprise, and the views are great, especially enjoying a cup of morning coffee on the balcony watching the sun come up. Thanks you Curtis for allowing us into your home. Hope to visit again soon.

Excellent Stay
Met some of my fishing partners at the Sabine Lake Lodge and had a great weekend. House was awesome and great location for quickly getting on the water when the wind permits. Bring your food or plan on a 20-25 min drive back into town to eat. We will be back!

I have been renting Beach homes the past 4 years, but this home is the best. It is luxury at it finest. We spent the weekend, and it was the best ever. The house and the property is beautiful and so are all the accomodations. Fishing was great when the weather permitted.. The family would like to return ASAP. Thank you Curtis for allowing the pleasure of enjoying your Home. WE highly reccommend it to any family with children.
