About this property

Historic Farmhouse

Built in 1890, this historic farm house has been fully renovated. You’ll find beautiful antiques and historic touches everywhere, but still enjoy all modern amenities, including high speed Internet and all the comforts of home. This is not a house for loud and large parties, as it is a quiet and rural neighborhood. We have a zero tolerance party policy for guest who disturb the neighbors. You’ll enjoy the large fenced in backyard for your dog, and beautiful sunset sunrise views. The house is priced by the number of guests, and you may contact the host if you have questions about pricing or length of stay.

*NOTE: VRBO's additional guest pricing tool calls this surcharge a 'hostess fee'. The fee is calculated based on the number of people after the first person. The house is a whole-house rental, and the price is calculated based on the number of guests. This is how we keep it affordable for a solo traveler, but also viable for families and large groups. The whole house max rental is $400/night for up to 10 guests.

Perfect getaway place! We wanted a quiet spot where we could bring our dog. The yard was perfect! It is the coziest little farm house and I would definitely stay there again!

Third time to stay here. The host Kristin is very available, lives nearby and very responsive. If you want a quiet place away from traffic noise to see the stars, watch deer in the yard, and enjoy the wind and beautiful country feel, this is an amazing place to just be. Great homey feel and beautifully decorated.

July 2026. I loved staying at this lovely farmhouse. Every question I had was quickly answered. After full days site seeing we were happy to come home here. I live in a big city and this peaceful place made it perfect vacation spot for us. Plus so much wildlife. In our travels over 4 days we saw 25 deer which included 2 single fawns and 2 sets of twin fawns and a flock of wild turkeys including chicks. It was a great location to see everything such as Deadwood and Sturgis and Ft. Meade, Mt. Rushmore of course, the Crazy Horse momum, the Mammoth Dig to the south, driving needles highway and Iron Mt. Rd. and the badlands which then also let's you easily stop by the infamous Wall Drugs. The farmhouse was the perfect central location for us since we did not want to be in a busy city area. I loved this place.

Farm stay

This place was a wonderful place to stay. We loved it. 5 stars all the way. The fenced in backyard was perfect for Farmer, our dog. He loved exploring in the backyard and playing fetch. Thank you Christine for making our home away from home so comfotable.

Beautiful, quiet country place

This was a beautiful stay just 20 minutes outside of Rapid City. There is a small grocery store about five minutes away with a few supplies. It is on a little farm with some horses. The owner Kristen was so responsive. Super kind as we got a bit of snow on arrival. She offered us her four-wheel-drive truck the next day if we needed it or if we needed a ride into town. Everything turned out fine and she also gave us recommendations on places to eat. She lives nearby and even came down one morning to shovel our sidewalks. Can’t say enough about our host and we look forward to coming back. There are so many little charming pieces of art and collectibles in this old farmhouse and it is decorated lovely. The only issue was on the VRBO side as we never received any instructions on how to check in or check out. However, our host texted us all the information we needed and was easy to get a hold of.
