Villa with panoramic sea view. 12min walk to the beach of Platys Gialos.

Sifnos is a gem of natural beauty and traditional architecture as the whole island, and not just specific places or buildings, are protected by law, as a region of outstanding natural beauty. You can make the most of it through a network of trails (sifnostrailscom). Sifnos has a long tradition in Ceramics, and still has many pottery workshops. It is also famous for its’ gastronomic delights.

The house, built in 1981 partly with stone, includes:
master bedroom with a double bed, an en-suite bathroom and private small veranda, a landing with a workspace and a loft with an extra bed; three double bedrooms (one with a double bed and a single bed, one with a double bed and one with a small double bed), all with access to outdoor sitting area; family bathroom; additional guest WC; spacious well-equipped kitchen; open plan living space including dining area, lounge with a 65’’ LG smart TV, and study - fireplace; When not used otherwise, a gamesroom a few steps below ground level is also available offering additional sleeping space for 3 to 7 people, table-tennis and further storage area.
Air Conditioning is available in all bedrooms (and in the annex studio, which also has a ceiling fan), and heating in all spaces. In bedroom 4 some room-darkening shades are also available.

On the outside of the house, on a lower level, below veranda 2, there is this self-contained annex (studio), available for rent separately. It has its own en suite small bathroom, a bench - kitchenette complete with kitchen sink, small oven, cooking surface, cofffee machines, kettle, toaster etc., a refrigerator and a wooden table with extensions, as well as a 43'' SONY TV (Android TV). It sleeps 5 people, and has Air Conditioning and a ceiling fan. It has direct access to the outdoors areas.

Guests wishing to have maximum privacy, and the maximum amount of available beds, can achieve this by renting both the main house and the annex.
The house sleeps at least 18 guests if all available spaces, beds and sofas are used (in the living room, loft and gamesroom), and the annex sleeps another 5 people.

Outside, the property benefits from front and side verandas and terraces and a back yard, offering protection from sun and wind as necessary. There is also a traditional wood-burning stove.

All spaces, apart from bedroom 1, the loft, and partly the kitchen, have amazing sea views.

If the photographs are viewed one by one then captions appear, and it is easier to understand what is where. They also include two floor plans.

In September 2025 and February, May, October and end of August 2026 all requests to book will be subject to approval by another co-owner.
During the winter months an agreement must be made to cover heating according to consumption (the metre can be checked by the guests).

WiFi connectivity and laptop-friendly workspaces are a priority for us, allowing our guests to work from home.
Internet speed according to our phone bill is up to 50Mbps, but due to limitations all over the island the actual average speed is over 21 Mbps, which is a solid WiFi speed allowing HD video streaming, as well as seamless teleconferencing, which we do extensively. There are at least two WiFi networks on two routers (one in the main house and one in the annex), plus various extensions, securing a reliable WiFi anytime and everywhere in and around the house. There are also laptop-friendly workspaces in all bedrooms and all communal spaces. For the outdoor areas there are fixed as well as portable tables.

This version is under 1,500 characters, keeps the strongest facts, and remains difficult for the host to dispute:The host was initially responsive and helpful, assisting with dinner reservations, recommending local grocery stores, and approving an early check-in due to our ferry schedule. Prior to arrival, she advised that the property had been cleaned, treated for bugs, and that there were outdoor cats on the premises, which was not a concern for our group.Unfortunately, the condition of the property upon arrival was unacceptable. There was no power in the main living area, and the home was not clean or ready for guests. We found live and dead insects throughout the house, dirt in sinks and the bathtub, food debris in the kitchen sink, garbage left in trash cans, used soap bars in the bathroom, and trash scattered around the exterior, including empty oil bottles and cat food cans. A vacuum, ladder, and other items were stored in guest living spaces. Two beds contained small bugs when the bedding was pulled back. One listed sleeping surface was a thin, stained mattress with a dead moth on it. Cat vaccines were also stored in the refrigerator.We immediately contacted the host, who offered to send someone the following day to remove the dead bugs. Given the overall condition of the property, we secured alternative accommodations within hours, notified VRBO, and departed without using the home.This experience did not match the listing's presentation or our expectations f
