This is the 2nd time I’ve booked this property, and I was just as happy with the accommodations. The heat worked well, and everything was clean and as described.
We stayed for three nights. The nearby restaurant and bar have great food. Proximity to Lake Michigan and Crystal Mountain. Bring bottled water if you're accustomed to city water. The well seems to be iron (maybe) heavyOverall great place. Hot tubs was great
The cabin was clean and sufficient for our needs. There were a couple of plaaces we wanted to visit in the area and the cabin was centrally located for them.
Exactly how described. Hot tub was clean and the cottage was what we had expected. Centrally located within the places we were visiting. Highly recommend.
The cabin is perfect for a quick get away. Check in was easy. Cabin was perfect for my friend and I to spend some time together while she was in town. Cabin is in reasonable distance from Frankfort and Buelah. Neighbors were quiet. Late night hot tub session was a must. Hot tub was clean and ready for us to jump in. Would definitely recommend for weekend get away for couples or bestie trip like I had.
A few of us friends just needed a couple days to hang out and do some snowboarding at Crystal Mountain, which is right down the road. We have stayed here several times in the past it’s always been clean and quaint. The addition of the hot tubs is a plus and it makes it more luxurious. We will be back!

Toilet seat troubles, 3 light bulbs burned out, bed sheets musky smelling, bathroom door swollen. Enjoyed hot tub everyday! Bed slept fine for 2 people. Air conditioner performed well. TV fine, microwave worked & coffee maker, enjoyed our 2 night stay
We enjoyed our stay and the property and everything was as advertised. There were some check in issues but property manager was all over it and worked it out without any problems. He was easily available. We were in Cabin #5 but they weren’t numbered, they each had names. Ours was The Cedar. I’d suggest using the names of cabins when directing clients instead of non existent numbers.I will use these cabins again in the future.
Stayed here for a few days with my partner and we really enjoyed our time. The cabin was clean and comfortable, exactly as pictured. Tv, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker all worked and were easy to use. The shower was spotless and there was plenty of hot water. The hot tub was very clean and was turned on and warmed up for us before we arrived. The cabins on the property are pretty close together, but we didn’t run into any of the other guests while we were there. There is a bar and a breakfast place across the street, we tried both and were happy with the food and service. Overall, a great place to stay!

Nice location, was disappointed that there was no laundry facility, never stayed at a VRBO before with no laundry facilities and no reference as to where we might locate a facility. Saw no warning that laundry facility was not present.
The towels smelled like cigarettes and the wifi never worked despite it being listed as an amenity. When I expressed my concerns, the host stopped responding. This was a major scam. BEWARE.

Response from VrboOwner on 15 Feb, 2024
I messaged Erica twice during her stay. Once the morning after her check in saying I hope her check in went well and to let me know if there were any issues or questions at all to let me know. She read my messages but never responded over the course of the entire weekend. She then sent me a long message at the time of checkout complaining about “two towels that smelled like smoke”, said the WiFi wasn’t working, and complaining that I didn’t provide shampoo but saying it’s a good thing she packed some(it clearly states shampoo isn’t provided in the listing. I’m assuming that’s why she packed some.) She insinuated multiple times she wanted a refund and also contacted VRBO requesting a refund. I explained to her she should had contacted me regarding any issues during her stay and I would had gladly made sure it was corrected but because of her poor communication and not notifying me of any issues at all during her stay I would not be providing a refund. She became somewhat hostile on the phone and stated she didn’t want anyone to come to the cabin when she was a female by herself in an isolated cabin. I asked if she was at the cabin alone because it stated two people on the listing and also noting that there are several cabins at this location and they were all booked this weekend and it’s within walking distance of two restaurants(definitely not isolated). She then changed her story to I was there by myself at times. It also would had been a simple fix to any of her complaints to do while no one was at the cabin as she stated she was on the trip to ski during the day. She also stated she couldn’t respond to my messages because the WiFi or their phones didn’t work but stated in her original message at checkout that they had to use their phones hotspots to do work. There were multiple other contradictions in her story and it seems like she’s a scammer trying to get a free weekend at someone else’s expense. I have close to a 1,000 reviews at the 7 cabins at this location between VRBO and another popular booking site with each one having a around a 4.8 or higher rating out of 5. Definitely not scamming anyone and I try to provide great customer support.
The cabin was clean and tidy. Perfect for a quick overnight stay after skiing. Super close to the Crystal Mountain skiing. We enjoyed the hot tub…there was a mini fridge, but it wasn’t plugged in when we checked in so it took a long time to get cold…we just put our drinks outside since it was winter when we visited….otherwise, it was a great place to stay. The bed was comfy, shower was nice and hot, hot tub was clean and ready for us to use, internet provided so we could watch TV at night to relax.
