Great area
The community was great. So much to do. Jessica was very responsive and easy to work with. The outdoor area was not really a place to be able to spend time. The front was over grown with trees and bushes. Once we swept up the back patio we were able to sit out there but the rest of the property was over grown. Only 1 portable AC didn't cut it. There was 10 windows in the living & dining room area, however only 5 windows had screens. If you don't have. AC it would be nice to be able to open all the windows. The upside is you don't spend much time at the house except for the evening. Overall o was it was a good stay

Great home base!
My husband and I stayed here with our five kids aged 6-16. The house was cute, super clean, really well-stocked, and in a beautiful area. Jessica was really easy to communicate with and responded very quickly! To use the amenities (pool, lake, mini golf, tennis courts, etc) at the resort community, you do have to pay an extra $8 per person per day once you get there. The community administrators are real sticklers, too, and anything extra is an extra $10-25 fee — so to dump our trash before checking out, we had to pay $10 because the trash compactor is closed on Tuesday. Not a huge deal, but something to look out for! We chose not to pay for the amenities and found a lot to do within about a 30-minute drive. We fished in the Lackawaxen (right by the Zane Grey museum), rafted down the Delaware, hiked to the Raymondskill waterfalls. Everything is about a half hour drive. We were here at the end of July, and it was absolutely beautiful, but I could see us really enjoying this home in the winter for skiing, too!

About the host

Host profile image
I live close to NYC and purchased this property as a weekend getaway home for me and my family. However, we don't get to use the home as much these days and would love to be able to rent it so others can experience the amenities and all-year round activities this community has to offer.

Why they chose this property

The community offers 2 olympic sized pools, horseback riding, mini golf, a ski lodge for winter activities and a lake that allows for motorboats such as jet skis, pontoons, etc. There's also mountain biking, hiking trails, the Delaware river nearby, a gym for those who like to work out, tennis and much more. It is not a gated community since the ski resort is public giving it a more relaxing feel.

What makes this property unique

Our property is one of the most charming in the neighborhood due to it's cabin look and feel. It's a ranch with a beautiful, unique loft that was originally built with the house. Every person whose seen it says it's the only property that offers it.
