A KWO-holiday cottage: a holiday house with comfort. It has a typical traditional Austrian wellness look, but with all modern conveniences.

Enjoy the mountains and the wonderful nature in every season, in Austria and Italy. Beautiful sunny walking landscapes and bike trails in the southern Alps, on the border between Austria-Italy. Take one of the fantastic hiking trails through the spectacular mountain ranges of the Carnian Alps; like the informative Geotrails across the geological border of two mountain areas, or walking in the enchanting Klamm (mountain gorge) or across other extensive walking areas through mountains of Austria and Italy. You can cycle through the pristine nature along the Gail river, and afterwards you go for a swim in the warmest lake of Austria, the Presseggersee (20 minutes drive, ca. 1,5 to 2 hours cycling), or in one of the many other crystal clear mountain lakes in the area.
In the summer let the ski lift take you for a walking tour high up in the mountains, on the borders with Italy or on the 3 countries point with Slovenia. Breathe the pure and healthy mountain air and enjoy a sportive, active walking and/or cycling holiday, or just enjoy your well deserved rest, in this very diverse mountain landscape. In a location which is also ideal for children and less mobile persons.

Marvel at the rich culture and cuisine in the Southern Alps of Austria and Italy, the perfect place for cultural and culinary trips in three countries. The border area of historic Friuli-Venezia, sunny Carinthia and surprisingly beautiful Slovenia has many historic towns and cities: for example, cosy Villach and Klagenfurt and the picturesque Italian mountain town of Tarvisio. But the historic port town Grado (with beach), the versatile Slovenian capital Ljubljana and romantic Venice are also within reach.

Een mooi huis met fijne bedden. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen en de communicatie met de eigenaar verliep soepel. Veel bezienswaardigheden voor een gezin met kinderen zijn wel wat verder rijden dus dat is iets om rekening mee te houden.

Wir hatten einen schönen Sommer

Das Ferienhaus ist neu, sauber und gut aufgeteilt. Mit zwei Erwachsenen Kindern und der Freundin unseres Sohnes hatten wir alle genug Platz. Die nähere Umgebung bietet einige schöne Möglichkeiten für einfache Wanderungen und in nur wenigen Kilometern Entfernung gibt es Möglichkeite für Anspruchsvollere Touren. Der Ort Kötschach-Mauthen bietet alles was man für einen angenehmen und entspannten Aufenthalt braucht. Das wir auch noch die beiden Fahhrräder der Vermieter nutzen durften war ein toller Bonus und hat das Einkaufen sehr erleichter. Insgesamt ein wunderschöner Sommerurlaub.

Top für Familien

Saubere, kuschelige Ferienwohnung und trotzdem sehr modern, neben die Ski Piste was super für uns und unsere kleine war. Größere Ski Pisten nicht weit entfernt, mit Auto erreichbar. Paar Restaurants im Hotels sind auch in der Nähe zum Füß erreichbar. Empfehlenwert. Achten Sie darauf dass alle Geräte + Heizung elektrisch sind, und die Kosten dafür kommen zusätzlich darauf, am Ende des Aufenthalts.
