This is a very nice condo in what I would call a private condo building. It is not a resort. More like you live in the neighborhood. View is excellent.I read prior reviews. I would not say that they were wrong in a lot of respects. But... The unit is very nice and it is a good place to relax.

The condos are nice, however, there are issues between building 7 and the others. You are not allowed to use the pool are or the bar due to someone bringing a lot of people a few weeks ago. We were not told what we could use and could not use. Also, the pictures show palapas on the beach and there were none.
The description is misleading. We specifically booked this unit as it stated it was part of the Misiones Condo Complex. We’ve stayed there before. We learned however that Building 7 has no ability to leverage amenities of the complex as they are run by different HOA’s. When we tried to use their pool we were asked to leave and escorted out by the security. Thus were left with a very shabby, unkept building with an unheated dirty pool, dilapidated non functioning swim up bar, mix mash of patio chairs and boarded up windows ground level. We had NO internet. Communication with the host did not produce any solutions. He refused to take responsibility for the false marketing of this building. Also says a chef’s kitchen- no salt/pepper, can opener or other basic kitchen needs. Yes- the view is incredible!!!! But stay in building 1-6 of Misiones. Avoid this at all cost.
We enjoyed our stay and the place was comfortable but the place has some issues. The Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom is heavily stained and gross. The kitchen has an ant problem. Don't leave anything on the counter or in the sink. Bldg 7 is not supposed to use the pool by Bldg 1-6. No one bothered us because it was not prime season. Bldg 7 has a nice big pool but it wasn't being heated so the water was cold. The hot tubs didn't work and the tiki bar is closed permanently. Bldg 1-6 has a nice pool bar / restaurant. Limited menu but good food and reasonably priced. The elevator closest to the unit does not work. Also, the cookware was crap. All made with teflon and beat to hell. Finally, the last morning, the power went out in the entire unit but not the bldg. It was 5 am and was finishing packing. I sent a note via VRBO to the owners but haven't received a response yet.
The GREAT: Stunning view, comfortable outdoor seating, comfortable bed, light blocking shades, great shower water pressure & temp control, very clean & safe, two vendor free beaches close; nightly sunset jazz concert wafting up from Jazz on the Rocks; hosts administrator was responsive & accommodating.
Room for improvement: Cheap polyester fitted sheets will NOT stay on the mattress; no blankets or throws just a thin polyester comforter; no basic cooking supplies such as oil, salt, pepper; nice beach umbrella but the chairs are the type you’d bring to your kids soccer game rather than the comfortable reclining sand stable beach chairs; bright white florescent spotlights throughout the unit - no relaxing lighting.
The property is very run down - one elevator doesn’t work, burnt out lights in the hallways, broken boarded up windows at the old poolside restaurant, dead plants in the landscaping…. the view from the pool is gorgeous and you pretty much have it to yourself… so the run down nature was a benefit. Building 7 is the poor stepchild of the condo complex and are not allowed to use the second pool area with the restaurant bar.
There was consistent noise from the Thompson's HVAC system that drowned out the sound of the ocean. On Thurs, Fri & Sat nights there was loud dance music blaring from the rooftop bar. It was blocked out well enough when we were inside with the doors closed so it didn’t impact our sleep but started around 8pm & went well into the night.
