Surprised with actual condition vs reviews
The price was very reasonable and the house was conveniently located near Red Rocks… the reason for our stay. Our first impression was fairly positive but once we got settled in, many issues became apparent. The showers were mildewed and there were numerous leftover items from previous guests…slivers of soap, razors, bottles of shampoo, etc. in the showers that needed to be discarded. One bedroom had a very bad odor from either the pillows or the comforter. When we tried to open the window, the screen was stuck on the wrong side. We had to get a ladder and fix it in order to open the window to allow fresh air to help alleviate the smell. The refrigerator had a lot of leftover food that needed to be tossed, including eggs that were expired 6 months ago, an opened jar of spaghetti sauce, moldy cool whip, etc. and old meat in the downstairs freezer. We tried to make ice cubes and the trays were cracked. The coffee pot carafe does not work with the coffee maker. Seating and glassware was insufficient for six people. The kitchen drawers needed to be cleaned out…crumbs, unnecessary items, etc. There was a bra and panties in the drawer downstairs. The linens on the beds were fine, but the closets were quite messy and we had to search for additional towels and the downstairs shower had no bathmat. Downstairs mattress needs to be replaced. We have stayed at many locations and this could be a nice place if these issues were addressed.
