I needed a house for my adult siblings and myself around the Fourth of July and this 19th century farmhouse was perfect. It sits on three or so acres surrounded by farmland and across from a golf course. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the golfers, and listening to the birds and other animals which are plentiful. The back features a large deck that we used for family visits, and watching the sunset, (Honestly, the sunset photos are largely the reason that I booked the house. It’s worth checking sunset time, and then taking a chair on the deck to watch the spectacular show. After that, pull the chairs to the fire pit, build a fire and enjoy the ambiance. The home’s location is outstanding. It’s 10 minutes driving to the heart of Purdue University. There is public access to the Wabash River a couple miles away. It’s a rural environment and the roads provide plenty of access to everything Tippecanoe County has to offer. The house sleeps very comfortably. Those beds are great. The two full bedrooms, one on each floor are spacious and airy. And also on the top floor, there are two twin beds before you reach the upstairs bedroom. We used them all. We appreciated the furnishings and appointments. It’s a well maintained home. Great kitchen and dining room. There is a long pecan table that seats 8! The washer and dryer are outstanding. They seem brand new. Nice iron! The place is private and safe. The bathroom is clean! And the hosts are charming.
