About this property
Relaxing Hill Country Experience overlook Johnson Creek-Beautiful Views
Welcome!
Make this your next destination! Don't miss out on a relaxing Hill Country experience. Kick back and enjoy this calm, stylish space that overlooks Johnson Creek. You will find a dining area & rockers on the front porch, a bbq area with a corn hole game nearby, a fire pit w/seating between the house and creek to relax and star gaze. And the creek front area is great for relaxing in the water with chairs, a couple of floats and a paddle board. You might want go fishing as well.
You will enter the property through a private gate with an access code...when you drive through the gate there is a security camera mounted to see the gate area only. You will continue a short way on the caliche road to the carport and parking spaces near the front door.
This home was precisely placed for amazing views and the perfect spot to relax and unwind with everything you need to enjoy your private getaway. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 and 1/2 baths, a light and bright...comfortable home with a Well Stocked Kitchen w/granite island w/seating for 3, small dining area (will seat 4)/living area that overlooks Johnson Creek. The master bedroom has a king size bed and laptop friendly workspace and is downstairs, the full bathroom and laundry room are there as well with one guest bedroom and half bath upstairs. There is a 2 car carport for covered parking and a parking pad at the front door for 2 vehicles. The gas BBQ and games area is close to the house. When you walk out onto the porch you will find rocking chairs and an outdoor dining area for 6. You will appreciate the views for miles from there follow the pathway (on foot) down to the fire pit area for your evening relaxation. During the day go beyond the fire pit area - you will follow the creek trail(wrap road) to the bottom of the bluff to the creek front area (this is also on foot...no vehicles allowed on the trails) where you will find 2 chairs and a paddle board to enjoy the water...there are a couple of floats and we have one life jacket for you to use for relaxing and exploration in the creek. - those are located in the. laundry room inside. Fishing on Johnson Creek on our property is catch and release and permit is required. Please keep in mind that currently the creek is low due to the drought but still flowing. We are still praying for more rain!
This property is conveniently located on the way "to everything Hill Country". Located less than 4 miles from the "Y" in Ingram (where Hwy 27 - Junction Hwy and Hwy 39 meet) you will find great spots that offer food, entertainment, coffee and shopping, even a small grocery with a great meat market and liquor store in Ingram. From there Kerrville is to the East and if you go West on Hwy 39 you will find The Point Theater/Stonehenge II and continue on a few miles to The Market (Bridget's Basket) a farm to table restaurant and market, and next is The Hunt Store with both food and often weekend entertainment. And don't forget about Crider's for your summer weekends: Friday night catfish, etc. and Saturday night rodeo & dance (Memorial Day to Labor Day.) Here you will be close to all of the most popular summer camps in the area - Waldemar, Mystic, La Junta, Heart of the Hills, Camp Stewart, Camp Honey Creek and the Vista Camps (just to name a few in the Ingram/Hunt area). Also Mo Ranch and the YO Ranch are nearby attractions. You will also be able to access the Guadalupe River from public areas along Hwy 39 (ie. Ingram Dam at the Ingram Lake and boat dock near by, further out is Schumacher Crossing with parking and picnic tables, etc.) and more along FM 1340.
You can also take a drive in the spring to see the wildflowers and in the fall to see the changing of the leaves - it is beautiful you won't want to miss it!
