Parking was fine. There was no hair dryer at the house. I called Jeremy and he talked to his wife. He delivered a hair dryer, a gallon of water, and bag of ice. Very, very nice.We entertained 4 additional friends - very comfortable. Thank you!
Beautiful property in the downtown district one block from the river. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet. The home had an amazing historical vibe while maintaining the feel of a modern home as well.
My friend and I enjoyed our stay at the James Albert. The owners answered all our questions and were attentive during our visit. The house was very clean and had comfortable beds. We definitely will be coming back to stay at the James Albert.
Ststed for a weekend & loved the home! Beautiful inside & out with original floors & tons of charm. Hosts had a recommendation book which was nice since ut was our first time here. Excellent for us 2 & our dog. Wonderful location in New Bern with great neighbors!
I got this for my family to visit and I'm so happy that I did. The interior is just precious if you love beautiful, old wooden flooring and it has EVERYTHING you could ever need for an entire group. House was perfectly clean and stocked with everything that the description listed. Has great parking for 4 vehicles. It's so much more reasonable than 4 hotel rooms. For once, I made my entire family happy with something because everyone wants to drive their own cars and do their own thing. Will 100% stay here again

Trip south 2024
The layout of this house is strange. The living room didn’t really exist other than two large couches situated in a bizarre way. There was no place to sit and eat other than a small table in the corner which could only seat two people. There was only one bedside table with no lamp. The kitchen was nice. there was a picture of the river in the description of the house but the house was not on the river.

About the host

The James Albert is a family owned 1900 home that we have renovated with a lot of love. We are from good old Johnston County ( Clayton NC ) ECU graduate and delight in hosting our home so others can enjoy historic riverside New Bern NC and all it has to offer. The James Albert is special to us because it was named after Jeremy's dad who was born and raised in New Bern.
