Thank you for the positive feedback! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the Christmas decor and the hot tubs during your stay. We appreciate your kind words!
This is a beautiful cabin with several great amenities. We really enjoyed the hot tub and swimspa. The cabin was in a great location and very clean. We liked that the back area was fenced off for our pup. Easy communication with staff. We would definitely stay here again. My only request would be some rocking chairs for the front porch!
The cabin was just as listed and pictured. We loved the hot tub and the swim spa as well as the game room- we spent a lot of our time at the cabin just relaxing. It was a great trip would rent this cabin again in the future.
Cabin was beautiful, we had a nice relaxing time. There are no curtins and the blinds are see through, so the neighbors can see right in the cabin. Skip the hottub and go straight for the Swim spa.
My family of 5 enjoyed our stay greatly. The hot tubs, game room, and coziness of the entire cabin made our 3 night stay one of the best trips we’ve had in a while. The location is perfect as it’s away from the busy strip of Piegon Forge but close enough to make it an easy drive to get to anywhere we wanted. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. We will book this cabin again!
The swim spa was gross. It was green and smelled horrible. Im still trying to get the chlorine out of my hair

Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear about your experience with the swim spa. That is certainly not the experience we want for our guests. Our team is also held to very high standards to ensure we are providing quality services and experiences to our guests. Unfortunately, things do come up every now and then and we do request the opportunity to address these issues as they are made known to our team. We hope you provide us with the opportunity to regain your patronage in the future.
This cabin had everything you could need for a stay, and more. Beautiful inside and out with enough space for several people to spread out. The swim spa was the highlight of our trip! We come to the smokeys several times a year, and have finally found our favorite place to stay! Book this cabin, you won't regret it!
Great place but all the construction takes a bit away.
The cabin was awesome and loved everything about it except all the construction going on- takes a bit away from being in the Smokys. Well stocked and very clean. Would stay again but would ask about the construction first!
Had a great stay! Spool Time was comfortable and beautiful. We had a couple questions come up during the stay and communication with the property team was easy. We did not experience any issues with neighboring construction as mentioned in the listing as a possibility. Both pigeon forge and gatlinburg were easy and fast to get to and the area offered a lot of varied activities to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip!
Unfortunately, we rented this home for the Spool and it was green and fishy smelling our whole visit which made it unusable during our trip. The staff however were very attentive to our request and a technician did show up to work on it while we were there but it was not fully resolved in time for us to use it. Thankfully the hot tub was clean and in great condition as was the home! My family and I had an excellent stay at Spool Time even though the Spool wasn't available. We would absolutely recommend it to others and stay here again.
House was great and in a perfect location for everything we wanted to do! Very clean and staff was very responsive. Kids loved the pool table! The previous reviews were not wrong…the swim spa was foul. We definitely could not swim in it and when we asked if there was anything that could be done they said it was just because of the well water. So, if you are booking this house for the pool, I’d look elsewhere. As a family traveling with kids I appreciated the previous reviews that mentioned the shade situation. The “blinds” did not offer much, so we brought room darkening shades to suction cup the windows and it was fine, but without them it would have been a challenge to sleep. Best of all, we got to see a bear roaming right through the backyard, so amazing! Overall, a great stay!
I was so impressed with this property i have 2 shih tzu and usually you have to watch so they don't go through the rails on the porch this property built a rail on the porch that you don't have to worry about them. You can relax in the hot tub and not worry about keeping the fur baby safe. Spending time e excise in swim spa and we saw a bear come visit. This property is the best I've seen in 10 years.
The cabin was very nice and clean. My only point of frustration was that the hot tub was not working when we arrived and had clearly not been working for days. They should be checking on their listed amenities between guests. The property mgmt gave no eta for repairs, but someone did show up that night just as we were going to bed. Other notes: the front door is tricky, and we left the cabin unlocked accidentally multiple times. Bring lawn chairs as there is little seating on the porches. Aside from these points, it is a great cabin for 3-7 people.
Reported loose toilet in master bath, hot tub temp was 72 degrees, pool/spa said check pH and community pool was closed for part of our stay. Said toilet and hot tub was fixed but the temp never came up. These amenities were why we chose this listing. Very disappointed
The property was as described. The house was clean and simple (no extra dust collecting stuff, or things to keep away from kids!). It had everything we needed to enjoy our time, and included 6 navy towels in a basket for the hot tub/swim spa. There was a previous review that commented on the lack of privacy with the roller shades. Nothing new has been added for privacy, so we covered the bathroom windows with a towel. At night, there might be a porchlight from a neighboring house but it was not bright enough to keep us awake. The house had everything we needed for our stay and felt new, clean and comfortable.
Lots of issues they need to step up their game if they want to continue charging these prices.
Upon arrival, our place had no Internet the hot tub did not work. The coffee maker was missing parts and the smoke detectors chirped the entire stay.. we called and complained they sent us a new coffee maker which we had to set up. Still ended up staying there in complete silence because not only did we not have Internet or TV or anything. Our phones did not get reception as well.. They did not fix the problem despite many texts and a phone call. while we were there. They did not fix the smoke detectors or internet, so it was a very annoying stay when you were inside the cabin with no music no TV no Internet no phone reception. I was kind of glad to leave.. spent the entire time indoors because it rained mostly.. to the sounds of the smoke detectors chirping and nothing else. I figured out the hot tub. I had to flip a breaker in an outdoor fuse box.. I also had to fix the toilet handle while I was there. The property management company or the owner or whoever really needs to step up their game because that was a horrible stay and a huge waste of money.. The cabin itself is beautiful.. but I bought the whole package not just the cabin.
We noticed some damage upon arrival which they offered to fix, but it wasn’t necessary to fix while we were there, so I said to wait. It was very clean besides the bath rugs. Couches were a little uncomfortable, but expected for a pet friendly cabin. Very convenient with our dogs to have the fenced in back porch. There were plenty of blankets-which are very needed to appropriately cover the windows. All of the roll-up shades are extremely see through. We initially asked for a late checkout and were given 1 hour. The night before leaving our oldest was up vomiting until 5am. I asked for a later checkout than 11 as he was still asleep in the am. They declined it despite the fact it was Christmas Day and by previous check it was the one empty day before the next booking. They declined and said the owners were coming for one day. Then they forgot they approved 11am checkout and the cleaners arrived at 9:38am snooping around. They proceeded to sit outside as we packed up and got out of there.
When we arrived the cabin was very clean and had many of the kitchen essentials that we needed. We enjoyed hanging out in the spool and hot tub every day before or after going into town. We also had a black bear walk right past our bedroom window within a few hours of arriving. Our dog loved taking walks up and down the hills.
On the first full day we noticed a strong smell coming from the master bathroom and we notified management and they sent someone to remedy that problem quickly. It is a brand new cabin and we assume we are one of the first few to stay in it as they were building 5 new cabins next door throughout our stay, which wasn’t awful but it did make relaxing outside hard when you hear heavy machinery but we knew when we booked that there may be construction so in the end it was not a huge deal.
I would maybe suggest to the owners putting some curtains up in the master bedroom as it made it hard for us to relax knowing that people in the cabin across the street could see into our bedroom if we had any light on. It also would have been nice to have a couple chairs on the front or back porch, there were some around the fire pit but they were heavy and we didn’t want to carry them up and down the stairs.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would absolutely book this cabin again if we have a chance!
