Cozy cabin on the hills

At 100 km from Bucharest, in Prahova county, on high hills, is our house. It is designated for 4 adults and, on request can accommodate a larger group. It is built on a stone wall with wooden beams. The house has two bedrooms, each with a large bed, and one single bed, living room, one bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen.

On request, people from the village can provide you meals or natural products.
The space

The house is located in an orchard of 10000 sqm, together with two other two houses, Mandra Ioana and Radu Dragu. It has big windows overlooking the surrounding hills and a nice playground with a fun zip wire.

We started hosting in 2016 when we built our first house for us and our family and friends. As we felt great, recharged, and we loved spending time together at the house, we wanted to share this feelings with other people that might search the exact same thing, quiet, fresh air, coziness, just a fun place to spend time with their loved ones.

Why they chose this property

Bertea is the village where we grew up. We have a lot of memories here, and we know every inch of the surrounding hills. Also, it is close to Bucharest, about 100 km, and it is easy to reach.

What makes this property unique

The house is built from natural materials, stone and wood by local craftsmen. The furniture is also hand crafted, and all the other details, from lighting to decorative pillows and beds, are bought from antique shops all around Romania.
The house has big windows, with a view over the hills and nearby trees. It gives you such a nice feeling to see from the tip of the bed the squirrels that run around the trees in front of the house, or, sometimes, you can see rabbits and deers on the hills nearby.
