We had a family of 14 & found there was space for all. Very convenient to beach. We drove instead of walking due to all the beach items we wanted to take to beach and it took only 2 mins. to get there. The beach & lake are great for little kiddos & older kiddos - lots of sandy beach & warm lake water.

Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re so glad to hear that your family of 14 had plenty of space and that you enjoyed the beautiful nearby beach and lake. It really is a great spot for both little and older kids to have fun and relax. We’re happy the short drive made it easy to bring all your beach gear too! We’d love to host you again anytime.
This is a beautiful house, in a great location. The only downside was the beds. The sofa beds and the mattresses on the bunk beds are of low quality and not comfortable to sleep on. Some of us weren't able to get more than a few hours of sleep a night. This is a major problem, but one that is easy to solve.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Generally nice area, room for the amount of people we had was adequate. Problems involving septic stench in sections of the home and inadequate kitchen set up (wet and dirty dishes upon arrival, not enough pans or common seasonings/condiments available that are normally found at other properties.) Not enough cleaning and hygiene supplies for a week long stay, maybe fine for a weekend. (Had to buy detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.) There is also a missing door handle on one side of the home. Location is great, other than the lack of access to the river from the property itself. (steps to the river were overgrown and inaccessible) Some information on the property was missing that would have been appreciated pre-arrival. The floorplan is strange. The lake experience trumps the cons and working around the homes quirks is worth it.

Thank you for your detailed feedback, Mary.
It’s true that we provide a starter supply of essentials such as detergent, toilet paper, and paper towels to get our guests set up, though for longer stays guests may need to restock depending on their needs. As our property is very popular in the summer, we sometimes have to prepare the house quickly between back-to-back bookings, which may explain why some dishes were still slightly damp after being cleaned.
Regarding water access, the municipality manages and maintains the steps to the river, and unfortunately we are not permitted to do any upkeep ourselves. For this reason, we don’t advertise the waterfront directly in front of the house as a swimming area but rather as a convenient spot for launching kayaks or paddle boards. For a perfect swimming experience, the beautiful sandy public beach just 900 meters away is the best option and always a guest favorite.
We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the lake experience overall, and we truly appreciate your suggestions which help us continue to improve.
Mattresses are not good quality, very uncomfortable, sofas are small, meant more for children. Listing says blackout curtains, however those are only on the lower windows/sliding doors. not the large windows above or skylights. very bright rooms which is nice but hard when you're travelling with young children
Parking was extremely confusing upon arrival. We wish that the listing provided more information regarding the parking/# of vehicles allowed. We felt like the unit does not provide enough on-site parking for how many people it is supposed to sleep. Any vehicles that did not fit in the yard we had to park up at the top of the hill and walk down to the cabin which was a security concern for us. Should have a map inside units. We did not like that the neighbors approaching us to discuss any concerns that should be taken up with the owner of the property (ie. parking)
For the smaller unit, it was concerning that the dryer is not vented outside of the unit. We were not made aware of this before running the dryer and it caused the inside of the house to get VERY hot. This is a big safety / fire hazard.
- The HVAC system needs some attention. It would cool down the large unit beside the AC however the middle and smaller units all struggled to get cool.
- The yard is NOT kid friendly. Very uneven walkways, loose gravel, tripping hazards from edge of pavers, septic tank lids
No screens no firepit, propane tanks were not full. Kitchens need better pots and pans!

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We're sorry to hear that some aspects of your stay fell short of expectations. We’re continuously working to improve the guest experience and truly appreciate you pointing out specific areas that need attention, including parking clarity, kitchen supplies, and comfort concerns.
We’ll review the listing to ensure it more accurately reflects the current setup, including window coverings and parking details. We have already improved signage, added a property map, and assessed the HVAC and dryer ventilation. Your comments about yard safety and outdoor amenities are noted as well.
Thank you again for staying with us, and for helping us identify ways we can enhance future stays.
