About this space
Located in the middle of arguably the best neighborhood in Austin, our completely custom home designed by my brother and I is walking distance to some of the best coffee shops, bars, restaurants, grocery, shopping, and more that Austin has to offer. We love our city, our neighborhood, and living in Austin. Check us out @hagenhouse_atx. Welcome home!
The space
Spacious with unique bedrooms, gorgeous bathrooms, large closets, an equipped chef's kitchen, manicured outdoor spaces, and local art. You'll enjoy modern luxury with designer furniture, new mattresses (Tuft & Needle and Aveline), pillows, bedding, an unbeatable location, and a true sense of what it's like to live in Austin, Texas. Great for groups or families with older children.
Guest access
Contactless entry is simple via a front-door keypad. Neighborhood is extremely walkable with four casual take away and dine-in restaurants on our street alone. Uber, Lyft, scooters and more are easily and readily available if you're not driving.
Other things to note
Private driveway fits two cars. Additional, free street parking available. Upstairs bathroom is a Jack and Jill setup, so it's connected to 2/3 bedrooms but shared. The fourth bedroom/sunroom is not connected to a bathroom. but features a day bed with a trundle pull out.
We have an STR Type 1 Permit.

About 13 years ago I started a page called "Austin Foodie Pics" thinking, "I'm new to the city, why not chronicle where I go and what I eat to keep track of it?" having no idea this could be something I could turn into a career or monetize. So I didn't, and that was dumb. But it didn't stop me from going out and eating, drinking, and experiencing the best of Austin. And now, I'd like to share that with you! Our home is a great starting point :)
Why they chose this property
East Austin is eclectic, vibrant, diverse and close to downtown while feeling calm and quiet. We live in arguably the best location of the east side with the ability to walk anywhere and everywhere from our house.
What makes this property unique
We designed and built it ourselves! So this ins't a cookie cutter new Austin build. There are many unique touches and design elements that make it feel modern but warm, thoughtful and lived in. Plus, you can't beat a secret room.
