Great weekend getaway

Cobb Island is so great for a weekend to relax and recharge. This house was perfect for our family - it's walkable to everything, fantastic water views, and they are not kidding about the gorgeous sunsets! We hope to return!

Low-key River Get-away

The stay was just fine. Right on the river so the view is fantastic! The home had the basic essentials, nothing fancy or deluxe at all. The island is darling and the people we met were very nice!

A VRBO that feels like home!

We stayed for a long weekend at the Summerlin Home, and loved it. All of the small details made the trip so much more enjoyable. From the single use toiletries in the bathroom, to the fully stocked kitchen with all of the essentials no detail was overlooked. It was a vacation rental that felt like home. The host were amazing, and extremely accommodating. It seemed they genuinely cared if we had a good trip, and were willing to help make it better if need be.

We had the best time! Thank you so much for the hospitality! Gammie did a great job on our sunset boat ride. We attended the. Pro National Motocross races at Budds Creek. This place was so nice and relaxing to come back to after a long day. We for sure will be back.

Very nice place

It's quiet, clean, and a great place for families to relax and enjoy. And the nearby market was so kind and nice. The owner's mother took the time to take our family out on a boat for a nice tour of the Potomac River for a while. Fishing at the pier, my son and wife caught a lot of fish and were very happy and excited. It is a place I want to come back to next year. Thanks again to Keith & Stacy.

We adored this pet-friendly cottage that is right on the water of the Potomac. It is very nicely decorated, the beds are incredibly comfortable, the internet was fast and the TVs were all smart TVs with plenty of streaming options. The island was very peaceful and quiet and the cottage is conveniently located within a reasonable walk of the marina, restaurant and store. The dock appeared new and has a bench with back for seating and relaxing over the water. There were two bikes available for rides around the island as well. For a pet friendly cottage, there were no signs of previous dogs such as fur or stains, and that was really nice to see. The cottage had all we needed for kitchen utensils, toiletries (though we brought our own), towels, and laundry. The linens and towels were in like new condition. We felt so at home and at peace. We felt the price per night was reasonable and can't wait to stay here again! P.S. If you stay here, getting takeout from Bubba's is a must :)

Peaceful escape

A perfect property for a much needed moms weekend away from the kids and jobs! It was so easy to unwind and relax. We enjoyed coffee on the pier, cocktails watching sunsets, naps in the hammock and walking to restaurants or the market. Communication w the hosts was impressively quick, and they were so accommodating to requests or questions. The furniture and decor were all so cute too! We loved catching up at that beautiful kitchen table. I see us all returning, either for another girls trip or with our families.

Perfect in every way!

Awesome property/location/amenities/host! We enjoyed every nano-second of our stay, and that is due to the host/hostess and the property they maintain and provide in the best way possible. We couldn't have wished for a better experience and hope to visit again and again. If you are planning to visit Cobb Island, this is the property you want to be at. Every inquiry before arrival was responded to promptly, and upon arrival, we were amazed at how clean and well addressed all our needs were without even having expressed them specifically beforehand. The location is perfect, as you are in walking distance to all that you need, and the sunsets from the dock are fantastic! We enjoyed sitting on the dock at night listening to the water, and the amazing waterfront views in the morning from the house while we greeted the day. We can't wait to go back!!

beautiful, relaxing location

We spent the week for a late summer family vacation and truly enjoyed our time. The rental is very clean, nicely appointed and comfortable. Loved that the hosts supply lots of accessories like hand soap, samples of sunscreen and some basic first aid supplies. Even though we didn't have access to a boat or watercraft for the week, the kids had a lot of fun fishing from the dock and the sunsets were fabulous all week. The location is a very quiet island with limited stores/restaurants in the immediate area but we did enjoy the Market and Scuttlebuts Bar/Restaurant, which are within walking distance of the house. All the people walking around the neighborhood were super friendly also. Just for awareness, all the beds are very high and may not be suitable for mobility or height challenged folks but a step stool isprovided. We would happily return for another stay in the future! Thanks to the lovely hosts.

Treasure Island

Parts of me doesn’t want to write a review because I feel like I’ve found a hidden gem. Its definitely filled with memories that I know the kids will remember when they get older. The house was equipped with everything we needed. Its fully updated with a modern look, feels like home. We spent the days mostly outside because how could we not with the water front view. The sunsets and sunrises look unreal. At night the stars pop out, perfect for star gazing. The grocery stores are a 3 min bike ride away or you could just eat all the fish and crabs you can catch right out your back yard. The locals are super friendly if you have the pleasure in meeting any of them. Not to mention, the property owner made sure we check in okay, on top of made it very clear that if we needed anything at all he was a text away.

Oh my gosh. This place is a gem. Clean house and stocked with anything you need, just bring food and clothes! Why they chose this property

Seated on the Maryland side of the vast Potomac River, the delightful Cobb Island was homesteaded and built by generations of crabbers and fisherman (even a few pirates!), forming the amazing little community that it is today. It hosts several thriving restaurants and marinas, including the locally famed Captain John’s Crab House. With amenities such as fishing and scenic sunset cruises leaving right from the island, to the Scuttlebutts bar and grill hosting live music on weekends, the island itself presents great opportunities for the whole family. Meanwhile, within just a couple of miles of the island itself, you can enjoy Swan Point Golf Club or the Wicamico Shores course , several wineries, and other local classics like Bubbas Place and the Cobb Island Market featuring Landon’s Ice cream stand. Only about an hour from Washington DC, it’s a great weekend getaway ideal for entertaining, and special events. The land and river alike in this part of Southern Maryland, are brimmed with history, landscapes, and some of the most beautiful sunsets you’ve ever seen. We hope you love it here as much as we do!
