Cobb Island MD has been part of our family for over 70 years, as 5 generations have lived, vacationed, and explored all the wonders of this beautiful piece of Southern Maryland history. It’s a special place to us with many great memories and we are excited to help you in making some of your own here.

Why they chose this property

Seated on the Maryland side of the vast Potomac River, the delightful Cobb Island was homesteaded and built by generations of crabbers and fisherman (even a few pirates!), forming the amazing little community that it is today. It hosts several thriving restaurants and marinas, including the locally famed Captain John’s Crab House. With amenities such as fishing and scenic sunset cruises leaving right from the island, to the Scuttlebutts bar and grill hosting live music on weekends, the island itself presents great opportunities for the whole family. Meanwhile, within just a couple of miles of the island itself, you can enjoy Swan Point Golf Club or the Wicamico Shores course , several wineries, and other local classics like Bubbas Place and the Cobb Island Market featuring Landon’s Ice cream stand. Only about an hour from Washington DC, it’s a great weekend getaway ideal for entertaining, and special events. The land and river alike in this part of Southern Maryland, are brimmed with history, landscapes, and some of the most beautiful sunsets you’ve ever seen. We hope you love it here as much as we do!
